1 IPCC SRES future land cover change experiments The future SRES scenarios are all based on the IMAGE 2.2 land cover change simulations for different scenarios. Two sets of transient simulation experiments will be performed. One for the A2 SRES scenario and another for the B1 SRES scenario. Experiments are as follows Historical control using the hybrid land cover scheme to 2000 using the LSM/IMAGE2.2 present day hybrid land surface dataset (figure 1).
