1 C.T.F.E. Cuban Tree Frog Eradicators
2 The Invasive Cuban Tree Frog The Cuban Tree Frog was introduced into Key West, Florida in 1931 and has since become a major nuisance. It is believed that they were unintentionally transported here in shipping containers or potted house plants. Now many native Florida tree frog populations are declining because of the Cuban Tree Frog. Many people have reported that they no longer see native tree frogs, only Cuban Tree Frogs in their neighborhoods. To protect Florida s native species my company, C.T.F.E. (Cuban Tree Frog Eradicators), is on a mission to eliminate the Cuban Tree Frog in Florida. Cuban Tree Frogs compete with the native species for food and will often eat them as well. They are also causing problems for people living in Florida. Cuban Tree Frogs thrive in human modified landscapes such as urban and suburban areas. They have been known to get into transformer boxes and cause short circuits. They can also get into houses and clog drains. If a Cuban Tree Frog frequently visits an area the fecal matter they produce becomes very unsightly. If we don t take action to stop the Cuban Tree Frog now there may be no native tree frogs left in Florida in the future.

4 This graph shows the lengths of nine protected species of common tree frogs in Florida plus the invasive Cuban Tree Frog. I chose to graph this topic to demonstrate the threat a longer frog poses to smaller frogs. As my graph depicts, Cuban Tree Frogs are much bigger and easily dominate smaller native tree frogs. Maximum length (in.) 5 This graph shows the maximum number of eggs laid each mating season by different species of frogs found in the state of Florida. I chose to graph this topic to demonstrate how easy it has been for the Cuban Tree Frog to overtake native frog species in the state. As this graph depicts, the Cuban Tree Frog lays many more eggs than other species. Because of their ever increasing population they are rapidly overtaking the native frogs in Florida. 7 Join C.T.F.E. Are you tired of finding Cuban Tree Frogs all over the place? Do you miss seeing those cute little Green Tree Frogs? Then join C.T.F.E. (Cuban Tree Frog Eradicators) along with all the other smart individuals who have made the right decision to eliminate the Cuban Tree Frog. Please help us to eradicate this invasive species. You can help our cause by making a monetary contribution to the C.T.F.E. headquarters in Florida. To our native tree frogs the Cuban Tree Frog is like a bulldozer that they can t stop! C.T.F.E. is on a mission to eliminate the Cuban Tree Frog in Florida by capturing and euthanizing this invasive species.
8 We will use the funds we receive at C.T.F.E. to eradicate the Cuban Tree Frog in Florida by doing the following: We will provide willing Floridian residents with PVC pipes to capture the frogs. The frogs use these pipes for shelter or to hide in them. We will provide collection areas where residents may bring the frogs that they have captured to be euthanized. We also have a research facility where we will conduct experiments to find a way to eliminate them.
