7 7 of 11 OF MEASURE ITEM PRICE TOTAL AMOUNT 22-A through 23-B: SIDE-TRIM OF TREES AND OTHER VEGETATION SUCH AS VINES, CACTUS, SHRUBS, YUCCA, and PALM TREES. The items in this section will typically be planted on neighboring property and the section(s) that overhang Caltrans property will need to be side-trimmed. All appropriate guidelines for side-trimming, such as those put forth by the applicable city and by the International Society of Arboriculturists (ISA), must be followed. The goal of side-trimming is to cut the plant back to the property line as much as possible, in compliance with guidelines. The integrity of the plant cannot be jeopardized and it cannot be made to look totally lopsided. The side-trimming is to be done in an ornamentally pleasing manner in line with normal tree pruning. In some cases we may only be able to prune what is on our side of the line, rather than reducing it back to the line. No ugly straight lines should be visible after the job is done. Cutting of vines at the property line, however, may produce a fairly straight line, which is ok. All debris must be removed from site and disposed of legally in a proper dump site, such as L.A. County s Scholl Canyon Dump. This same disposal information applies to all waste / trimmings / debris under this Agreement. See categories below for details. Trimming of plants such as boganvilla; could also include other types of vine and ivy. This category calls for generalized trimming back of entire plant. Plants may be on the ground or on a trellis, arbor, building, post. Plants may be out in open areas or under porches. $ REMOVAL. Remove Ivy / Vines / Boganvilla and haul away all debris. Removal includes removal of all trunks / stumps using grinding / chipping/ digging as required. $ Remove typical small diameter trunk type bamboo. Stump and all other debris is to be removed from the property and legally disposed. This category only applies to removal of pre-existing stumps. All debris to be removed from the subject yard and disposed of legally in an appropriate dump site such as an L.A., County landfill, such as Scholl Canyon Dump. 29-A 100 Per Branch Pick up and remove small branch. Size is up to 5 feet in length. This is actual branches. Raking up twigs is in another category. $
