They are bred to Janssen Red Angus low birth weight bulls. Bulls have been used on heifers before. Birth weights on the three bulls are as follows: 55 lbs, 68 lbs, and 72 lbs. The bulls were put in on May 2 nd and were pulled July 1 st. Heifers should start calving ~February 10 and finish ~April 15. Vaccinations- Sept 20- Dr. Steven Russell gave them a lepto shot and Dectomax injectable. We ve had minimal health problems with these thrifty calves.
