From June 2012 the African National Congress will be holding its Policy Conference at Gallagher Estate in Midrand. All the ANC leaders from the branches right up to the national leadership will be gathered there. This will include Cabinet Ministers, Premiers, ANC Members of Parliament, Members of Provincial Legislatures, Members of Provincial Executive Committees, Mayors & their Exco s, Directors General of national and provincial departments. This will be an excellent opportunity for you to liaise and engage with the leadership on matters affecting the South African economy, your sector and your company. A powerful programme of dialogue has been developed to enable you to speak directly to the economic leaders of the ANC in a more informal, but structured manner. 3 PBF BRICS Colloquium & Network the ANC Policy Conference Brics Colloquium With South Africa joining the BRICS group of nations, exciting new opportunities arise for the economies of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. Enterprises in these countries need to seize these opportunities which facilitate doing business between these countries and opens up new markets. To celebrate this political advancement, the ANC Progressive Business Forum will be hosting a BRICS Colloquium & Banquet, in order to inform the corporate community on the objectives, processes and developments with regard to BRICS and to promote enhanced trade & investment in this new economic bloc. Much has been written on BRICS, but much more needs to be spelt out. This Colloquium & banquet aims to demystify the concept, to give practical content to its objectives, and to discuss the prospects which it holds for business in this emerging economic bloc of note. Network Forum & Vip Business Lounge The ANC s National Policy Conference is poised to debate a number of important issues relating to the South African economy. This conference will prepare the way for policy decision at the elective conference scheduled for December Decisions formulated at this conference will impact business in South Africa. It is therefore crucial for the corporate sector to engage the ANC on these important economic matters. To this end a business programme has been designed to run alongside the National Policy Conference, with daily breakfast briefings by key economic sector Ministers, as well as a Presidential Banquet, with the Hon. President as keynote speaker. In addition, businesses will be invited to take up exhibition space, enabling representatives of their companies to meet, debate and promote issues important to their sector and their company. Positioned to ensure maximum exposure to the delegates of the conference, corporates will be empowered to put forward their views uninhibited. Participating companies will also have access to the VIP Business Lounge, where they will be able to meet with Ministers and other decision-makers.
