1 SUMMARY OF MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE ARV ADA CITY COUNCIL HELD JULY 2, Call to Order - 6:00 p.m. - Council Chambers 2. Moment of Reflection and Pledge of Allegiance 3. Roll Call of Councilmembers Those Present: Mayor Marc Williams, Mayor Pro Tern John Marriott, Councilmember Bob Fife r, Councilmember Nancy Ford, Councilmember David Jones, Councilmember Mark McGoff, Councilmember Dot Miller Also present were: Mark Deven, City Manager; Rachel Morris, Deputy City Attorney; Bob Manwaring, Director of Public Works; Bryan Archer, Director of Finance and Kristen Rush, City Clerk. 4. Approval of Minutes of the June 18, 2018, City Council Meeting and June 5, 2018 Executive Session The minutes stand approved. 5. Public Comment- A. Sharon Davis, Representing the Arvada Parks Advisory Committee, thanked Councilmember Ford for attending their June meeting. B. Peter Kazora, Representing the Arvada Festivals Committee, invited everyone to Arvada on Tap on July 21 from noon to 5 p.m. at the Ralston Park Addition at 64 1 h and Simms. 6. New Business A. Consent Agenda 1. Rl Rl8-064 A Resolution Authorizing an Agreement by and between the City of Arvada and Bates Engineering, Inc., for the Sleeping Indian Water Storage Tank Design in an Amount Not to Exceed $169,266.00, Project No. 18-WA-10 A Resolution Authorizing a First Amendment to an Agreement by and between the City of Arvada and Brothers Redevelopment, Inc., to Expand the Scope of Work and Increase the Contract Amount from $75,000 to $175,000 Per Annum for Safe and Accessible Home Improvements Councilmember Fifer moved that RI 8-063, A Resolution Authorizing an Agreement by and between the City of Arvada and Bates Engineering, Inc., for the Sleeping Indian Water Storage Tank Design in an Amount Not to Exceed $169,266.00, Project No. 18- W A-1 O; Rl 8-064, A Resolution Authorizing a First Amendment to an Agreement by and between the City of Arvada and Brothers Redevelopment, Inc., to Expand the Scope of

R A Resolution Authorizing an Intergovernmental Agreement Between Jefferson County Colorado, the Jefferson Center Metropolitan District and the City of Arvada for the Maintenance and Repair of Indiana Street from Candelas Boulevard to 96th Avenue and a Culvert Installed Beneath Indiana Street Serving Big Dry Creek and the Big Dry Creek Trail Mark Deven, City Manager, reviewed this resolution with council. CB An Ordinance Annexing Certain Land Into the City of Arvada, White Annexation No. 2, 7519 Simms Street (Public Hearing to be set for July 16, 2018 at 6:30 p.m.) 3. CB An Ordinance Rezoning Certain Land Within the City of Arvada, White, from Jefferson County A2 (Agriculture) to RL (Residential-Low Density), and Amending the Official Zoning Maps of the City of Arvada, Colorado, 7519 Simms Street (Public Hearing to be set for July 16, 2018 at 6:30 p.m.) 4. Public Hearings Rachel Morris, Deputy City Attorney, reviewed this item with council and said that the public hearing is scheduled for July 16, This item is for informational purposes only; no action is needed by council. A. CB An Ordinance Repealing and Reenacting Sec. 6239, Criminal Mischief, of Article II, Miscellaneous Offenses, of Chapter 62, Offenses, of the Arvada City Code (Ordinance No. 4645) Mayor Williams opened the public hearing on CB

4 Page4 Rachel Morris, Deputy City Attorney, reviewed this ordinance with council. Jack Ponze, Arvada Resident, requested his name be entered into the record but did not wish to speak. Mr. Ponze did not indicate that he was for or against the issue. No one wishing to speak for or against, the public hearing was closed. Mayor Pro Tern Marriott moved that CBI 8-027, An Ordinance Repealing and Reenacting Sec , Criminal Mischief, of Article II, Miscellaneous Offenses, of Chapter 62, Offenses, of the Arvada City Code, be approved on final reading, numbered 4645 and ordered published by title only. 9. Public Comment- Five Minute Limit - none Rachel Smallwood, Arvada Resident, discussed the workshop council will hold on July 16. l 0. Reports from City Council - Councilmember Miller moved to appoint David Blalock to the Golf Advisory Committee for an unexpired tenn ending April 20, Those voting Yes: Williams, Marriott, Fifer, Ford, McGoff, Miller Those Absent: Jones Mayor Pro Tern Marriott reported on the CML Conference he attended. Councilmember Miller invited everyone to her "Talk and Rock" at 3 p.m., on Saturday, July 14 at Kline's. Councihnember Jones reported on a Ride Along he did on Saturday and thanked all the first responders for everything they do for the community. Councilmember McGoff gave an update on the Arvada History Book which will be released sometime in November. Councilmember Fifer discussed his participation on a talk radio show. 11. City Manager Reports - Mark Deven, City Manager, reviewed the upcoming workshop schedule with council. 12. City Attorney Reports - None
