1 TANZANIA RURAL AND URBAN ROADS AGENCY Invitation for Tenders For ROADS MAINTANANCE AND CONSTRUCTION OF BRIDGES IN MBEYA, MBARALI, RUNGWE AND CHUNYA DISTRICT COUNCILS IN MBEYA REGION Date: 08 th November This Invitation for Tenders follows the General Procurement Notice for these Projects which appeared in Mwananchi News Paper Issue No No dated 7 th October, 2017 for and s and Daily News Paper Issue No No dated 10 th October, 2017 and Mtanzania Newspaper Issue No No dated 7 th October 2017 for and s respectively. 2. The Government of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of the Tanzania Rural and Urban Roads Agency in Region during the financial year 2017/2018. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payments under the contracts for Roads Maintenance and Construction of Bridges in,, and s. 3. Tendering will be conducted through the National Competitive tendering procedures specified in the Public Procurement (Goods, Works, Non Consultant Service and Disposal of Public Assets by Bid) Regulations, 2013 Government Notice No. 446 and is open to National Tenderers only as defined in the Regulations. 5. Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the Office of the Secretary of Delegated Regional TARURA Tender Board, P.O. Box 1840, at Regional Commissioner s Office Room No. 20 from 07:30 15:30 Hours local time on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays. 6. A complete set of Tendering Documents in English may be purchased from the Secretary of Delegated Regional TARURA Tender Board, P.O. Box 1840 by interested Tenderers upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Tshs. 100, Payment shall be made by depositing into Bank Account No Account Name; TARURA City NMB Bank Mbalizi Road Branch and submit the pay slip.

6 7. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Securing Declaration in the format provided in the Tendering Documents. 8. A bidder may participate in more than one tender in a council BUT shall not be awarded more than three tenders in the same council. 9. All tenders in one original plus two copies, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the address: The Secretary, Delegated TARURA Regional Tender Board, P.O. Box 1840, MBEYA at or before 10:00 hours local time on Tuesday 21 st November, Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of the Tenderers representatives who will choose to attend the opening ceremony which will be held in the Conference Room, at the Regional Coordinator s Office-TARURA MBEYA which is located at Regional Commissioners Office. 10. Late tenders, portion of tenders, electronic tenders, tenders not received, tenders not opened and not read out in public at the tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstance...
