2 What happens at an EYP Session? Every EYP session consists of three parts -Teambuilding, Committee work and General Assembly. Teambuilding (Thursday) The Teambuilding allows the Delegates to better get acquainted with each other, showing them how to work together during the session. Through more or less intense indoor and outdoor activities overseen by the Chairpersons, the Delegates will learn how to work in a team and how to face challenges together, thus establishing their work, efficiency and democracy rules for the upcoming Committee Work. The delegates of this session will be coming from eight different countries. Committee Work (Friday-Saturday) Each Committee will spend the day at the Révai Miklós High School. There, they will explore and discuss the challenges faced in their topic, while writing the Resolution they will present to the General Assembly. Each Committee will be guided by their Chairperson, a former EYP participant, who will ensure all opinions are expressed freely and taken into account so the final product of the work of the Committee reflects the views of all people involved. The main purpose of the EYP is to promote the views of the European youth and offer a platform for that same youth to express their opinions openly and freely. However, we will not be the ones building those opinions, so make sure you come to the session well informed and ready to defend your positions! We recommend that you prepare adequately for all topics by using the Internet, being up-todate on the news, etc. General Assembly (Sunday) On the last day of the session, all the participants will gather for the General Assembly. There, the Resolutions written by each Committee during the previous day will be defended. The General Assembly will be held in the City Hall of Győr and will follow an established formal procedure. The debates will be led by the Board, composed by the President and two Vice-presidents, all three of them experienced participants of the EYP. What will be at stake for the Delegates is being well acquainted with their own topic and controlling it, but also being able to have an informed say on the topics of the other Committees, this way making the debate more interesting and fruitful for all. 2
