1 e-government Trainings One of the core activities of ExteemConcept e-governance training is to train high level civil servants, NGO leaders and also municipal leaders in developing countries. Through training, ExteemConcept e-governance aims to raise awareness concerning the possibilities of ICT and to demonstrate the importance of having a solid national policy and strategy in the development towards an information society. Based on a critical analysis and experience, we offer insight in how the use of ICT can have a meaningful and beneficial impact on everyday life and can realize a boost in a country s overall development and competitiveness. The training programs and the trainers involved are constantly evaluated and updated. Participants can choose between: 5-day introductory policy courses tailor-made training programs on specific subjects, or customized taking into account a specific national setting (specified on e-voting, e-democracy, education, local government level services etc.) All courses include study tours and visits, during which on site trainings can be provided 4-day training about land management and GIS For those seeking an overview of the main e-governance policy topics, ExteemConcept offers 5-day introductory policy course: - The course titled e-government Best Practices Training for Public Sector leaders covers about 20 subjects, which disclose and describe in detail the experience and results accumulated by the US government, civil society and the private sector, gained from years of pro-active and conscious implementation of information society policies. In this training, we take a look at various forms of

2 public-private partnership amongst key stakeholders, and we offer an analysis of how the general public can and should be involved. Special attention is given to the critical importance of political vision and will, to ensure continuity and consistency and a necessary stable environment during the implementation of adopted policies and passed laws. - The other course, meant for local government officials, offers a similar general overview of the meaning and the different aspects of e-governance, but addresses the specific issues with which local government officials are confronted. New training - "Land management and GIS" 4-day training for specialists and higher officials of target country s Land-Board Office. The training focuses on presentation of different digital systems and solutions, implemented in the field of land planning and management. During the training, participants are given also the general overview of ICT. The aim of this training is to deepen the knowledge, awareness and skills of specialists from target countries and thereby broaden the ICT-related possibilities, capabilities, efficiency and competitiveness of the Land Board and its sub institutions of the target country.
