1 General Terms and Conditions of Participation in the Conference Sport Governance and Women in Leadership These are the terms (the Agreement ) that govern participant s participation in the conference entitled Sport Governance and Women in Leadership. By registering for the conference Sport Governance and Women in Leadership participant is agreeing to these terms, which form a legal contract between the Croatian Olympic Committee and the registered participant ( you ). If a person is registering on behalf of another, it is the responsibility of the person who is registering to ensure that the person who is participating is aware of these terms and accepts them, and by completing the registration the person who is registering is warranting that he/she has made the person who is participating aware of these terms and that the person who is participating has accepted these terms. 1. Project 1.1. The SUCCESS project (hereafter referred to as the Project) is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union The Project is organised by the consortium of National Olympic Committees of Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Italy, Lithuania and Slovakia The Croatian Olympic Committee is the coordinator of the Project As the coordinator of the Project, the Croatian Olympic Committee is responsible for the implementation of the Project activities to the European Commission The National Olympic Committees of Czech Republic, France, Italy, Lithuania and Slovakia are partner organisations in the Project More information about the Project can be found on the official website of the Project 1

2 2. Conference 2.1. The conference Sport Governance and Women in Leadership (hereafter referred to as the Conference) is organised within the Project as the final public event for dissemination purposes According to the plan for the implementation of activities of the Project, the Conference takes place at Bratislava, Slovakia. 3. Organiser 3.1. The Croatian Olympic Committee is responsible for the implementation of the entire Project including the Conference (hereafter referred to as the Organiser). 4. Local Organiser 4.1. The Slovak Olympic Committee is the host and local organiser of the Conference (hereafter referred to as the Local Organiser). 5. Registration 5.1. Participants may only register using the provided online registration form The registration form can be found at the following link: The online registration form can also be found on the official website of the Project 6. Admittance criteria 6.1. Registration is open to sport organisations from EU Member States Participation is open to a limited number of participants. 2

3 6.3. If more registrations are received than space allows, the Organiser will create a waiting list and inform the participants of their position on the list Registrations are reviewed in accordance with the following admittance criteria (in the following order): 1. The type of organisation, 2. The order in which the registrations are received Regarding the type of organisation, priority is given to (in the following order): 1. National Olympic Committees, 2. National Federations, 3. Other sport organisations. 7. Confirmation of participation 7.1. Once officially registered, the Organiser will review registrations and send confirmations of participation to registered participants in accordance with the admittance criteria. 8. Substitution 8.1. A registered participant can authorize another individual from the same organisation to attend the Conference in his/her stead at any time by notifying the Organiser in writing Notifications have to be sent to the following address: alma.papic@hoo.hr. 9. Cancellation and non-participation in the Conference 9.1. The registration by the participants is regarded as the final promise of participation in the Conference If participation in a particular case is not possible despite the registration, this must be notified to the Organiser immediately and no later than 4 September Notifications have to be sent to the following address: alma.papic@hoo.hr. 3

Scope of services Services provided by the Organiser include the participation in the Conference, materials for participants of the Conference, and refreshments during the break Services do not include any meals. 11. Travel expenses / overnight accommodation / room reservation Costs for travel and overnight accommodation of participants are not paid by the Organiser The participants are responsible for reserving and paying for these expenses themselves. 12. Conference content Participants acknowledge and agree that the Organiser, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to change any and all aspects of the Conference, including but not limited to, the Conference name, themes, content, program, speakers, performers, hosts, moderators, venue and time. 13. Event cancellation The Organiser reserves the right to cancel the Conference wholly or in part in case of an insufficient number of participants, organisational reasons, changes of availability of speakers, force majeure or other unforeseeable events that render the execution of the Conference impossible and/or not worthwhile or that would lead to the Organiser incurring unreasonable expenses in executing the event The Organiser shall immediately inform participants of such changes Should the Conference be cancelled by the Organiser for organisational reasons or as a result of force majeure, as outlined above, participants may not assert any further claims and any such claims shall be excluded. 4

5 13.4. This also applies to compensation claims for travel and accommodation costs and lost working hours. 14. Certificate of participation A certificate of participation is issued to each participant following the event The certificate is sent to participant via as a printable PDF. 15. Media By attending the Conference, participants acknowledge and agree to the Organiser the right at the Conference to record, film, photograph or capture their likeness in any media now available and hereafter developed and to distribute, broadcast, use or otherwise globally to disseminate, in perpetuity, such media without any further approval from participants or any payment to participants This grant to the Organiser includes, but is not limited to, the right to edit such media, the right to use the media alone or together with other information, and the right to allow others to use and/or disseminate the media. 16. Governing law and jurisdiction This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia The exclusive court of jurisdiction shall be the competent court in Zagreb, Croatia. 5
