1 NOTICE OF A PUBLIC MEETING A public meeting to receive input on the following planning applications will be held on: COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE (PUBLIC HEARING) May 8, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at VAUGHAN CITY HALL, COUNCIL CHAMBER 2141 MAJOR MACKENZIE DRIVE, VAUGHAN, ONTARIO, L6A 1T1 PROPERTY: APPLICATIONS: Islington Avenue, located on the southeast intersection Islington Avenue and Kellam Street, City of Vaughan (s #1 and #2 - Ward 1). The Applicant has submitted the following applications to permit a threestorey development including three ground floor commercial units (400.7m 2 ) and five residential apartment units in the upper two-storeys as shown on s #3 and #4. 1) Official Plan Amendment File OP to amend Vaughan Official Plan (VOP) 2010, specifically the policies of the Mainstreet Commercial designation to permit the following: i. residential uses in the third floor; ii. a maximum building height of m; and iii. a maximum Floor Space Index (FSI) of times the area of the lot. 2) Zoning By-law Amendment File Z to amend the City s Zoning By-law 1-88, specifically the Mainstreet Commercial Zone to permit exceptions to the Zoning By-law including permitting residential uses on the third floor, a maximum building height of m and a maximum gross floor area of m 2 for the development. Reg. 543/06) If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the City of Vaughan and/or the Regional Municipality of York, to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the City of Vaughan before the proposed Official Plan Amendment is adopted, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision. If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the City of Vaughan before the proposed Official Plan Amendment is adopted, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
