1 2018 SRD Registration Packet Hand in Hand We Are TOPS Strong April 6 th 7 th Charlotte Harbor Event & Conference Center 75 Taylor Street Punta Gorda, Florida This will be the only information you will receive concerning registering for the 2018 SRD. Read aloud at several chapter meetings and see that all persons who wish to participate at SRD have the proper information needed for registration. The registration deadline is February 16th. Please read carefully to all members so they are aware of what is going on at SRD. We have changed things up this year, so pay attention. We look forward to seeing everyone at SRD! 2 SPECIAL NOTICE TO ALL CHAPTER LEADERS PLEASE TYPE OR PRINT REGISTRATION AND PARTICIPATION FORM CLEARLY. Excel format of SRD Registration & Participation Form can be found at the Florida State web site (look under Events) In order for your members to participate on stage in the various events, members must be registered by the above deadline date of February 16 th and adhere to the dress code to go across stage. There will be no late registrations for the various events at SRD. COST: The cost of registration for this two day event will be $35.00 for any person attending SRD. Even if you only attend one day of SRD, the cost is the same. After February 16 th the cost will be $40.00 per person. THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS. All persons, including any guests attending, must be registered and must wear a name badge at all sessions. No one will be admitted to any session without a badge. Pre-Order Your 2018 SRD Pinette Now! $3.50 Each Please place your order for the SRD Pinette on the SRD Registration Form - quantities limited Those chapters not attending may also order and they will be mailed to you after SRD. Your SRD 2018 T-Shirt Order Form is included in this packet. Return enclosed order form with your SRD Registration & Participation Form. Also please place the total number and amount of T-shirts ordered on the SRD Registration Form. T-Shirts are Pre Order Only. DEADLINE FOR ALL CHAPTER REGISTRATION AND PARTICIPATION FORMS IS February 16 th. Please send in your registration fees and form as soon as possible. 2

3 Chapter Leaders or a Chapter Representative must pick up the Chapter Registration Envelope at the Registration Table. Your Registration Envelope will contain the following: Name Badges, Prepaid Pinettes and SRD Program Flyer If participating in an event, individuals will need to check in at the event registration tables. If member was registered for an event, but unable to do the event, please let the appropriate event table know. Before leaving the Registration area, PLEASE check the contents of your envelope to insure that you have sufficient material for each Registrant. PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION CAREFULLY. For Sessions this year, we are making the following major changes, so please read the following carefully and make sure all attending are informed of the changes. LEADERS Parade will be on Friday night. You can either be dressed in theme or casual. We only ask that there be NO Shorts. There will be no special seating for leaders, just come to the side of the stage when it is announced and have your card, which will be in the chapter registration packet to hand to the MC for your name and chapter to be read. Leaders will go across in no particular order. SRD Committee will be recognized Friday night. You can either be dressed in theme or casual. We only ask that there be NO Shorts. Come to the side of the stage at the appropriate time (pay attention to the program flyer). Major change for Saturday session - We will have only one session on Saturday, ending with the Circle of Light. (We will not be breaking halfway through as we have in the past) To accommodate for this change, Graduates will not be seated on stage but rather will come on stage as their name is called to receive diploma and then go back to front reserved seats so they will be in place for the Circle of Light at the end of session. Please, during any workshop or session; turn off all cell phones and pagers. 3 Remember there is to be no flash pictures taken during any of the sessions.

5 DRESS CODE FOR ON STAGE AT SRD SATURDAY State Recognition Days is a formal event for Saturday on stage participants. Chapter Royalty State Division Winners State Royalty Past State Royalty Century Award KOPS Alumni KOPS Longevity All Stage Hose/Hostesses Women: Any color dress mid-calf or longer Palazzo Pants with dressy top No street pants or capris Men: Suit or slacks and sports jacket with tie Military Uniform No Jeans Graduating KOPS Are Required to Wear Black Women: Black Dress mid-calf or longer or Black Palazzo Pants w/black Top Men: Black Suit or Black slacks and black sports jacket, with any color tie (shirt may be white) Or Military Uniform "IF YOU CHOOSE NOT TO FOLLOW THE DRESS CODE, YOU CHOOSE NOT TO PARTICIPATE ON STAGE" 5

6 It is best to fill out the Registration & Participation form as you read what is required. You must be registered by February 16, 2018 to participate in all events. You MUST check in at the Registration area on Friday ASAP to get any Special ribbon and instructions unless otherwise stated below. LEADERS PARADE: ATTENTION: The Leaders Parade will be on Friday night for the current Leaders. Please note if participating, On the Registration sheet - same line as member s name, fill in under Leaders Parade Yes. No further check-in is required, your card with be in your chapter registration envelope. BEFORE AND AFTER PARADE: Members must have lost a minimum of 50 pounds to participate. Please note if participating, On the Registration sheet - same line as member s name, fill in before & after sizes under Before Size & After Size. Dress Code: Be proud and dress to inspire. Remember to bring your Before size clothes with you. CHAPTER ROYALTY PARADE: Please Note: Bring the chapter crown or tiara. If Chapter King / Queen cannot attend SRD the Chapter King / Queen Runner-up may represent the Chapter. Please note if participating, On the Registration sheet - same line as member s name, fill in under Chapter Royalty Yes. KOPS GRADUATION: Please Note: To graduate at SRD, KOPS status must have been reached by December 31, 2017 and must be registered at TOPS Club, Inc. by January 31, GRADUATING KOPS WILL NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE KOPS ALUMNI, BUT WILL BE IN THE CIRCLE OF LIGHTS. Please note if participating, On the Registration sheet - same line as member s name, fill in under KOPS Grad Yes. KOPS ALUMNI: Please note if participating, On the Registration sheet - same line as member s name, fill in under KOPS Alumni the number of years as a KOPS. PAST STATE ROYALTY PARADE: You must be a KOPS in Good Standing to participate in this parade. This is not for Past Chapter Royalty It is Past State Royalty Only. Please note if participating, On the Registration sheet - same line as member s name, fill in Year Honored under Past FL State Royalty. CENTURY MEDALLION PRESENTATION: Please note if participating, On the Registration sheet - same line as member s name, fill in New or Alumni Yes. To parade as Alumni, you have to have kept off a loss of 100 pounds. Your coordinator will verify you are eligible. CONSECUTIVE KOPS LONGEVITY AWARD: Regarding KOPS Longevity Award for each 5 years, (Only for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 consecutive years without a break as a KOPS) your coordinator will verify you are eligible. Please note if participating, On the Registration sheet same line as member s name, fill in consecutive years as a KOPS under Consecutive KOPS Longevity Award that you are being honored for.
