5 MONITORING AND EVALUATION SYSTEM Relevant progress in integrating Agenda 2030 with Statistical and Information Systems: Module design in the Presidential System of Management by Results for the alignment of the institutional production to the ODS. Technical assistance by the United Nations Agencies to strengthen the technical capacities for monitoring and evaluation of Agenda (UNDAF : A M&E work team is working on the implementation process of the 2030 Agenda) Identification of intersectoral and inter-institutional actions to be implemented to plan, establish and monitor the prioritized indicators (Example ODS 6). The formulation of the PEI mehodology not only includes the 2030 Agenda but also highlights the importance of M&E and its relevance in the process. Technical assistance related to strengthening national statistical needs has been requested from DESA through Tranch project 9
6 BUILDING CAPACITIES The country has actively participated in different events in order to prepare human resources for the SCGG and other institutions (forums, webinar, workshops, conferences, follow-up meetings, laboratories, thematic expert groups, among others) regarding monitoring and evaluation for the 2030 Agenda. The following are some of the events and the number of participants: Workshops Number of participants Developing National Capacity in Results-Based Management to Support Implementation of 2030 Agenda 2 Workshop for Reporting Progress Tranch 9, Monitoring and Follow-up Implementation Agenda Pilot Countries 2 Workshop on MAPS Methodology and Preparation Implementation Agenda VNR2016 Experiences Exchange Expert Meeting Course on Planning Strategy for the Implementation of Agenda 2030 Workshop for Municipal Indicators related to the 2030 Agenda
7 DRAFT PROPOSAL OF NATIONAL AGENDA Honduras has socialized the draft proposal of the National Agenda for the SDG with the sectorial cabinets, institutions and local governments. The proposal has been prepared by the technical group and approved by the Presidential Direction of Strategic Planning. However, the final version of the National Agenda- SDG, once it is socialized, validated by the Minister of the General Secretary of Coordination submitted to the approval of the higher bodies, will require a comprehensive review of the description of the indicator, as well as its sources and corresponding records; in order to facilitate their understanding, monitoring and evaluation.
8 10 GOALS 50 TARGETS 66 INDICATORS PRIORITY CRITERIA Identify objectives and indicators more appropriate to the economic, social, environmental and political reality of the country. Prioritize objectives, goals and indicators with greater linkage to the Country Vision - the National Plan and the PEG. Establish sources of statistical information for the monitoring of indicators, considering the current capacity of the national statistical system and its possible expansion.
