25 Mr. John Woodcock Alternate Member of Delegation Telephone: Independent Barrow in Furness John Zak Woodcock is a politician who has been the Member of Parliament for Barrow and Furness since May He was born in Sheffield in 1978 and was educated at Tapton Comprehensive in the city before obtaining a degree in English and History at the University of Edinburgh. John worked as an aide to John Hutton MP (now Lord Hutton of Furness) before serving as a special adviser to Prime Minister Gordon Brown. He has previously served as shadow transport minister and shadow education minister for young people.
