2 SHANGHAI COOPERATION ORGANIZATION COUNTRIES COMMODITY FAIR, XI'AN, SHAANXI PROVINCE, 24TH- 26TH SEPTEMBER 2015 President Xi Jinping proposed to hold "Shanghai Cooperation Organization Countries Commodity Fair" at the 14th Meeting of the Council of the Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Member States in September In order to implement the proposal, to consolidate and strengthen regional economic cooperation of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, approved by the Party Central Committee, the State Council, "Shanghai Cooperation Organization Countries Commodity Fair" (referred to as SCO Countries Commodity Fair) was held in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province on 24th-26th September Jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investment and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Shaanxi Provincial People's Government, and co-hosted by the China Chamber of Commerce for Machinery and Electronic Products Import and Export and the Shaanxi Provincial Conference and Exhibition Centre, the exhibition took "to expand the Silk Road cooperation, and promote common development" as its theme, aimed to deepen regional economic cooperation and promote the sustained and rapid development of cooperation of Shanghai Cooperation Organization in various fields. The exhibition was located in Xi'an Qujiang International Conference and Exhibition Centre, with a total exhibition area of 50,000 square meters. SCO Countries Commodity Pavilion, "One Belt and One Road" Chinese Pavilion, China Shaanxi Pavilion, Financial Industry Pavilion, etc., were arranged. The exhibition comprehensively displayed superior products, special industries and cooperation projects of all countries in trade, investment, energy, transport, industry, agriculture, science and technology, culture and other areas, as well as regional economic cooperation achievements of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. All the SCO participating countries' government or groups introduced their investment field, investment policy to promote the superior industrial projects, carry out two-way cooperation talks and promote economic and trade exchanges and cooperation between the SCO member countries. Shanghai Cooperation Organization Countries Commodity Fair brought together specialty products from each participating country. Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Govt. of India nominated Trade Promotion Council Of India to take their members in this prestigious show.

4 TPCI PAVILION AT THE SHANGHAI COOPERATION ORGANIZATION COUNTRIES COMMODITY FAIR (REFERRED TO AS SCO COUNTRIES COMMODITY FAIR) WAS HELD IN XI'AN, SHAANXI PROVINCE ON 24TH-26TH SEPTEMBER 2015 The Show was inaugurated by Mr. Fang Aiqing, Vice Minister of Ministry of Commerce of The People's Republic of China. In his inaugural speech Vice Minister welcomed all the members and thanked them to attend this prestigious event and was grateful for bringing the companies from different countries. Trade Promotion Council Of India with support from Ministry of Commerce, Government of India and The Embassy of India, China had organized the TPCI Pavilion at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Countries Commodity Fair (referred to as SCO Countries Commodity Fair) was held in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province on 24th-26th September The event had the participation of The People's Republic of China, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Russian Federation, Republic of Tajikistan, Republic of Uzbekistan, India, Iran, Mongolia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Belarus, Turkey and Turkmenistan. The exhibition provided an ideal platform to showcase India s capabilities, products & services and to explore opportunities for marketing tie ups, joint ventures and other collaborative arrangements. The TPCI Pavilion was visited by Mr. Fang Aiqing, Vice Minister of Ministry of Commerce of The People's Republic of China. He visited all Indian Participants and appreciated their presence and requested them to come back next year as well. About 15 Indian companies participated in the exhibition to showcase their products. Vice Minister also appreciated the efforts done in the IBEF Presentation which is in the connection of Invest India. Lunch was hosted by Vice Minister, Where all the Ministers and Dignitaries from all SCO Countries were present and discussed the modalities in enhancing the trade among them. Minister thanked everyone and welcomed everyone next year as well.
