The USBGC (LEED V2.2) defines rapidly renewable as made from plants that are typically harvested within a 10-year cycle or shorter. What about nut allergies? There are no concerns about allergic reactions due to nut allergies. Research has shown that the allergens in nuts reside in the meat of the nut, rather than the shell.
