2 ABOUT OUR ENERGY EFFICIENCY PROGRAMS Programs began in June 2008 Who Qualifies for the Programs? Ameren Illinois Electric and/or Gas Customers Programs funded by Ameren Illinois Customers Rider charge on monthly gas and/or electric bills Commercial Businesses, Nonprofits, Private & Public Schools, Government Buildings, and Large Assemblies (museums, civic centers) 2

4 PROGRAM INCENTIVES Two Types of Incentives Standard or Prescriptive pre-determined incentive Custom anything not Standard (1 10 year payback) Incentives based on Watt and Therm reduction Pre-Approval Under $10,000 incentive NOT MANDATORY BUT SUGGESTED At or Over $10,000 incentive YES All Custom, Retro-Commissioning and New Construction Projects YES 4

Download the application guide and application and you can: Get general information on the program View answers to frequently asked questions Determine eligible measures Get details on cash incentives Apply for incentives Pre-approval required for all incentive requests at or over $10,000, in addition to Custom, Retro-commissioning, and New Construction Projects Submit required final paperwork to the Ameren Illinois Energy Efficiency Program 6

8 LIGHTING INCENTIVES Lighting accounts for 20% to 50% of the average business' electricity consumption. Cash incentives are available for a variety of lighting projects, including: Replace T12s with high-performance T8 or T5 lamps LED exit signs Interior LED lighting Highbay lighting replacements Exterior lighting for parking lots, canopies, and garages T8 to T5 relamp and reballast Permanent lamp/fixture removal 8

9 HEATING & COOLING INCENTIVES Heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) account for up to 40% of the energy used in businesses. Cash incentives are available for a variety of HVAC/water heater projects, including: Furnace and boiler replacements Air conditioner replacement Water heaters Variable frequency drives (VFDs) 9

10 SPECIALTY EQUIPMENT INCENTIVES Cash incentives are available for a variety of specialty equipment projects, including: Automatic door closers for walk-in freezers EC motors & anti-sweat heater controls Beverage machine controls Livestock waterers & equipment heater timers High-efficiency exhaust/circulation fans 10

11 GAS INCENTIVES Cash incentives are available for a variety of gas projects, including: ENERGY STAR high-efficiency gas furnace Gas boiler replacements High-efficiency tanked water heater Boiler lockout / reset controls 11

12 CUSTOM INCENTIVES Measures that are not listed in the application may be eligible for Custom incentives: $0.06 per kwh or $1.25 per Therm saved Total incentives cannot exceed 100% of the total project cost Eligible custom projects must have a single payback period that is shorter than the project s expected measure life 12

16 PUBLIC SECTOR INCENTIVE BONUS 15% incentive bonus for projects completed by public sector customers Electric or gas projects Final project paperwork must be submitted by Nov. 30, 2017 to be eligible for bonus Cannot be combined with any other bonus or special offer* * Special offers include Instant Incentives, Online Store, SEM, Feasibility Study and Metering and Monitoring 16

17 EARLY COMPLETION BONUS Complete projects early in 2018 and receive additional cash incentives! Residential customer of Ameren Illinois Electric or Gas customer Rate code DS1 or GS1 on Ameren Illinois bill Must own home (select programs) Registered Program Ally must verify homeowner eligibility and install all equipment 19
