1. Introduction: M/s Aqua Chem Industries is a partnership firm to manufacture Unsaturated Polyester Resin. The ever-increasing demand for the product in India has prompted the partners to undertake manufacturing of Unsaturated Polyester Resin. M/s Aqua Chem Industries is a team of performing range of aptitude, talented and affirmative professionals, when it comes to quality and excellence. The firm has acquired a land at Jodhpar (Nadi), Morbi , Gujarat for the manufacturing of Unsaturated Polyester Resin. 3

2. Project Description: The project is neither an interlinked project nor an interdependent project. The proposed Project is manufacturing unit of Unsaturated Polyester Resin. Production Capacity: The proposed production capacity of Unsaturated Polyester Resin is 500 MT/Month. Project cost: Total Project cost for proposed project activity is INR 2.50 crores (approx.). Location of the Project Site: The proposed project is located at Survey No. 50/2, Jodhpar (Nadi), Morbi , Gujarat. Project proponent: longitude: E and latitude: N Fresh Water Requirement: The total fresh water requirement during the operation phase for proposed project will be KLD (Domestic KLD, Gardening KLD, Industrial 0.4 KLD). Main source of water supply will meet through bore available in the premises. Waste water generation & Management: Total Effluent generation for Project will be KLD (0.700 KLD Domestic KLD Industrial), which after treatment in ETP and treated water will be reused for cooling Tower. Domestic waste water will be disposed to soak pit. Electricity Requirement: The Total power requirement will be 85 HP. The main source of power is PGVCL. The backup will be provided from DG Sets having capacity of 65 KVA in case of power failure. Therefore, no additional electricity will be required for proposed project. Fuel Requirement: Lignite and Wood is being used as a fuel for Thermic Fluid Heater & Diesel is being used in D.G set. Manpower Requirement: There will be 7 people required for the proposed production project. Thus, total manpower will be 6 men & 1 Woman workers. 4

Solid & hazardous waste management: Hazardous waste like Discarded drum / Container, Used / Spent oil, Distillation residue, Discarded product material (R&D) etc. will be generated and sold or disposed to GPCB authorized vendor / recycler and / or will be disposed at CHWTSDF. Green Belt Development: Green belt is already provided in premises. Suitable local plant of variety of species are planted with adequate spacing. 5

3. Raw Materials and Manufacturing Process: Raw Materials: List of raw materials required are as follows Mono Propylene Glycol Di Ethylene Glycol Mono Ethylene Glycol Phthalic Anhydride Maleic Anhydride Styrene Monomer Manufacturing Process: Raw materials (e.g. anhydrides and glycols) are charged into the reaction vessel. Then, the reaction vessel is heated up to first to 160 C and then up to 220 C. During the reaction, the water is produced. The water is continuously separated from reactor and collected into the distillate tank. Then water is sent to ETP plant for further treatment of water. The produced product in reactor is further cooled down and then whole mass is transferred to mixing vessel containing styrene monomer which is further cooled down to 40 C. Then, the finished product is packed in MS/HDPE drums or HDPE carboys. Blender: SS 316 Blending Tank with MS Jacket (2 Nos.), Capacity 9 KL, with gear box and motor. Condenser: SS 316 Shell and tube type condenser, Capacity 30 m². Thermic Fluid Heater: TFH units with COP, ID fan and FD fan with common chimney, Capacity 6,00,000 kcals. Cooling Tower: Capacity 100 TR, water flow rate 1100 LPM. Storage Tanks: Glycol Storage Tanks Styrene Storage Tanks Equipment for the Laboratory. 8

6. Project Benefits & CSR Activities: Project Benefits: Growth in the industrial sector creates new opportunities for employment and can also help diversify the economy. CSR Activities: M/s Aqua Chem Industries will initiate various CSR activities for the development and care of the area and people. The various CSR activities include - Tree Plantation at Roads passing nearby. Funds will be provided to arrange extracurricular activities for nearby schools. School uniforms and notebooks will be provided to poor students. 9

7. Conclusion: The project proponent will follow all the statutory norms and guidelines as per EPA, 1986 to safeguard environment. Waste water generated from the proposed project will be treated in to ETP followed by RO. Ambient Air Quality of the project site will be within the permissible limit as prescribed by National Ambient Air Quality Standards. Noise shall be within industrial premises which will not exceed 75 db(a). The project will generate employment opportunities during operational stage. The standard of living of local people due to employment is likely to be better, so we may say that it is positive socio-economic impact. The region will get economic boost. Overall the project will have positive impact for socio-economic and cultural development. 10
