4 APPLICATION OFFICE Lighting for a productive work environment. The quality of lighting in an office can substantially increase worker motivation and performance as well as personal well-being and health. With the right lighting, employees are able to concentrate better on their work, leading to increased productivity and fewer mistakes. APPLICATION SCHOOL Lighting for better student performance. The choice of illumination in education facilities has a significant impact on processing information an essential task for students. The appropriate fixtures can improve concentration, support visual acuity, and enhance the learning environment.. Because design flexibility is essential. The new building standard, TRE beautifully illuminates office spaces, conference rooms, corridors, restrooms, cafeterias, and copy centers. A true full distribution source, TRE produces light at many angles, increasing the volume of available light. The popular direct/indirect curved appearance elevates the look and feel of the surrounding environment while seamlessly integrating with common energy saving controls. Office Electricity Use Lighting (39%) Cooling & Ventilation (23%) All Other (38%) Because performance is critical. The TRE brings an exceptional combination of pleasant, uniform light output, high efficiency, and options tailored to a wide range of school environments. TRE provides full distribution lighting, to reduce the need for dedicated whiteboard or wall wash lights. Plus, lower maintenance cost with this long-life fixture that comes with a built in dust guard enclosure. X X Watts per Square Foot (Maximum) NEW ENERGY REGULATIONS RESTRICT LIGHTING POWER ASHRAE 90.1 National Energy Standard: Applies to New Construction and Relighting Whole Building LPD 2004/ National legislation changes effective 2013 require, at minimum, ASHRAE energy standards across the United States. The code lowers lighting watts per square foot (Lighting Power Density or LPD) allowances in non-residential buildings ASHRAE also mandates controls and daylight harvesting in a large number of spaces. Energy saved using Transition Enclosed can be used to comply with code allowances or to offset the needs of other areas with more intensive energy design requirements. Hospital Clinic School Dorm Office ASHRAE 90.1 National Energy Standard States must meet, but many may choose to exceed requirements Daylighting and occupancy control requirements increase dramatically Not limited to new construction alterations of a space by 10% or more require code compliance Incorporating daylight harvesting can save significant energy in both private offices and large, open areas where natural sunlight is present during operating hours. Energy savings from facility operations go directly to operating profit, making this an attractive element of any energy reduction strategy. Washington D.C. American Samoa Guam N.
