4 Introduction to Yangon City and YCDC YCDC (Yangon City Development Committee) has 20 departments and responsibilities for the recreation of the city dwellers, construction and maintenance of roads, bridges, building, playgrounds and parks, water supply works and disposal of solid waste, proper management of sanitation and so on. Water which is being used every day in Yangon is supplied and managed by water and sanitation department under YCDC.
