The company got its current name Alfa-Plam. 12 Let s protect nature by using renewable energy sources! Biomass is a renewable energy source because it originates from living organisms. The main advantage of biomass as a reusable energy source is the possibility for its production almost anywhere on the planet. The sustainability of biomass as an energy source is achieved by adequate management of that resource. Wood, as an energy source, has been used for heating and food preparation since the beginning of the human species. Wood is considered a neutral energy carrier because, during exploitation, it releases a minimum amount of CO, approximately the same amount as that absorbed in the process of photosynthesis. Pellets are fuel produced from wooden mass, without chemical additives and absolutely not harmful to human health and the environment.
