18 TÜV Rheinland Photovoltaic Testing Lab ASU Lead: Govindasamy Tamizhmani Providing quality products for the world s markets. Joint venture between TÜV Rheinland, ASU, and the APS STAR facility TÜV/PTL performs photovoltaic module qualification testing and related activities. It is one of three such unique facilities in the world testing modules from manufacturers around the world. Its staff is experienced in the analysis and full testing sequence of commercial Si solar cell technologies required by IEC 61215, IEC 61626, IEEE 1262, and UL TÜV/PTL clients/partners span the globe, from the USA, Canada and Mexico to countries in Europe, South America, Asia and, of course, Australia. The modules they submit for qualification testing encompass all technologies both in marketplace and under development.

46 ASU Continues to make a Commitment to Solar Energy 46
47 ASU is Branding Everything Solar
48 Outcomes from the ASU Solar Experience Has become a national leader not only in solar R&D but also in solar deployment. Has used innovative techniques to accomplish this deployment. Shares successful experiences and practices with others. Has gained an understanding of the energy sector and how solar can aggressively participant in it. Utilizes innovative methods to represent and communicate solar performance. Engages the entire community by using the campus as a solar laboratory (in addition to adding more capacity (Red Rock II) we want to explore a battery storage as well as micro-grid and islanding demonstrations).
