LEGISLATIVE AND STRATEGIC FRAMEWORK New Energy Law (adopted in April 2010) Regulation on criteria for issuance of authorizations for energy facilities (adopted in August 2010) The first authorization was issued for construction of small HPP (in November 2010) Decree on strategic reserves of petroleum products was prepared Preparation of the other secondary legislation is underway Revision of Energy Policy is underway Preparation for revision of Energy Development Strategy is underway

LEGISLATIVE AND STRATEGIC FRAMEWORK Law on Energy Efficiency (adopted in April 2010; it will be applied from May 2011) Preparation of secondary legislation is underway 1st national Energy Efficiency Action Plan ( ) was prepared National indicative energy savings target of 9 % of the FEC for 9 years by 2018 (an average 1 % annually) was adopted Fund for Energy Efficiency established as an independent budgetary account in December 2006 Energy Efficiency Unit elevated to the status of Sector for Energy Efficiency in December 2009
