Equipped with control valves completely automatic, with hydraulic operation (hydrodynamic), without power supply. Regulation of the residual hardness thought calibrated valve. Isospherical resins with high speed of exchange. Softened water guaranteed 24h without any interruption, also during the regeneration of one of the two models. Modules soften the water at the same time, till when the first module reaches the saturation of resins. During the regeneration of the first module (12 15 minutes), the other one continues to supply softened water. At the end of the first module regeneration, both will be in service again, till when the meter of the second one will be cleared, and so it will start the regeneration. Models are studied to hydraulically communicate between them, avoiding to be in regeneration at the same time. DUPLEX models use softened water to regenerate the resins, so, only filtered and softened water will flow through control mechanism, pro-

2 tecting them and assuring a longer duration. By-pass with male connections from ¾ available as optional. On demand: chlorine producer for the resins disinfection. Upstream the system it can be installed a suitable filtration, depending on the quantity of inlet water. APPLICATION AND USE Suitable for apartments, two-family houses, restaurants, bar, hotels, and small industrial applications. Attention: this device needs regular periodical maintenance in order to maintain all drinkability features of the treated water and all its improvements as declared by the producer. Hardness measuring kit Salt in tablets CORRECT INSTALLATION Before installing DUPLEX R-EVOLUTION 330/ DCA, verify that the inlet water does not contain any substance or products with higher parameters than the ones listed here below: 1. Turbidity, silt, mud or solid particles lower to 50 µm. 2. Maximum allowed concentration of total iron: 0,2 ppm. 3. The hardness has not to exceed 75 f and the total of dissolved salts TDS not more than 1000 ppm. 4. Feed water temperature has not to exceed 0 C. Protect the water softener from frost. 5. The concentration of halogenated compounds or similar has not to exceed 0,5 ppm; the same values for the active halogenated as sodium hypochlorite (double as what allowed for the drinkable water). 6. Lack of strong oxidants (ex. chlorine, oxygenated water, amuchina, acetic acid, potassium permanganate). 7. Absence of oils, greases, hydrocarbon, and organic solvents. Verify that the dynamic pressure of the mains water is not lower than 1 bar (with at least two opened taps in use) and that it doesn t exceed the 5 bar: on the contrary install a pressure reducer. Water softeners have to be protected by possible pressure shock (water hammer). At this purpose, look at the paragraph limitations and exclusions of the guarantee.
