5 Our customers recognise Riverland s support in developing their growth and the fact that Riverland does not directly compete with them. Customers value our hands on approach and our commitment to both bio security and Identity Preservation (IP) systems. Riverland is a regional oilseed crusher and vegetable oil refiner committed to the Australian oilseed industry, producing vegetable oil and protein meal products for the domestic and international markets. page 2 Canola seed is sourced domestically direct from growers and via accumulators in the key growing regions of New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia to supply Riverland s three crushing plants. The introduction of Genetically Modified (GM) Canola in New South Wales and Victoria has prompted Riverland s pro choice position. Whilst recognising growers needs for GM technology to support local canola production over the long term, we also recognise that the end consumer will require a period of transition as their acceptance of GM oil grows.

6 We have built our success and leadership position through our commitment to our customers, our suppliers and our people, combined with an ability to adapt to the changing marketplace. Peter Shearman Executive Director, Riverland Oilseeds Pty Ltd In addition to crushing operations, Riverland has recently expanded the plant at Numurkah in Victoria to include oil refining and bleaching capabilities producing oils for intermediate or industrial application. Riverland offers both solvent extracted and expeller pressed canola meal to the dairy, beef, poultry and pork sectors which are supported and endorsed by leading nutritionists. Through ongoing research and development we are evaluating the production of higher value canola meal products for use in dairy and aquaculture. Together with Nuseed, Riverland seeks to provide solutions for increasingly health conscious oil consumers. It has committed to closed loop, IP production and processing programs for MonolaTM, a high stability canola oil well suited to frying applications. The breadth of strategic partnerships Riverland enjoys enables collaboration across the value chain from seed breeders, growers, storage handlers, oil refiners, feed millers, to wholesale and retail end users.
