Bidder to note that existing clauses/ details as appearing in the specification stands deleted and clauses/details as mentioned in Modified to or Read as column shall be applicable and in bidder s scope as listed below in SCHEDULE A. In addition, new clauses and scope are also added as listed below in SCHEDULE B & shall be a part of tender specification and in bidder s scope. Bidder to comply the same. 2 Page 2 of 10 Quick lime silos will be equipped with rotary cell and vibrators for unloading the lime in quick lime silos suitable arrangement like basket elevator/belt conveyor arrangement to be provided by bidder. 1 Number Bulk FeCl3 Storage Tank (MOC: RCC with A/R Lining, thickness 10 mm minimum) total 5 days storage capacity. One no. Bulk FeCI3 Storage Tank along with piping, valves, fittings, instrumentation, breather, seal pot and accessories associated with the same. 2 Number Bulk FeCl3 Storage Tank (MOC: FRP thickness 10 mm minimum) each of 7 days storage capacity. One no. FeCI3 dosing tank of MOC MSRL for 2 days effective storage capacity. 3. IIB ANNEXURE- III 1 (1.1 a) 181 of Number Poly Electrolyte Dissolving tank (MOC: SS 304) for 5 days storage (required for working clarifier, thickener & filter press) with Poly Electrolyte drum/bag lifting and tripping arrangement and with agitator of SS 304 and dissolving basket of SS 304. Two (2) [1W+1S] lime milk dosing tanks (RCC) each of 12 hrs. Storage capacity for 10% lime solution. Located in chemical house. 1 Number Poly Electrolyte Maturity tank (MOC: SS 304) of 1 day storage capacity (required for working clarifier, thickener & filter press), agitator of SS 304 and dissolving basket of SS 304. PT PLANT (PRE TREATMENT PLANT) 1 Number Poly Electrolyte Dissolving tank (MOC: SS 304) for 14 days storage (required for working clarifiers, thickener & filter press) with Poly Electrolyte drum/ bag lifting and tripping arrangement and with agitator of SS 304 and dissolving basket of SS 304. Two (2) [1W+1S] lime milk dosing tanks (RCC) each of 2 days Storage capacity for 10% lime solution. Located in chemical house. 1 Number Poly Electrolyte Maturity tank (MOC: SS 304) of 2 day storage capacity (required for working clarifier, thickener & filter press), agitator of SS 304 and dissolving basket of SS 304. 3 Page 3 of 10 AND AMENDMENT # 3, DATASHEET A a) CLARIFIER Each clarifier unit of PT plant shall be guaranteed for an effluent capacity of not less than 3000 CU.M/ hr. meeting the effluent quality as mentioned below: Effluent quality at the outlet of all clarifiers shall be guaranteed for the following:- Iron content: Less than 0.3 mg/ litre. Total Suspend Solids: Less than or equal to 10 mg/lit and turbidity shall be 10 NTU. Free residual chlorine shall be maintained as 0.4 to 0.5 ppm. Each clarifier shall be tested to demonstrate the above mentioned Guarantees at site under Demonstration test. In addition, demonstration of satisfactory working of rated capacity of all the clarifiers, its drives, scrapper mechanism, operation of sludge blow-off etc., thickeners and its mechanism, filter press, chemical dosing systems, pumps, blowers, agitators, screw conveyors shall be demonstrated by bidder. a) CLARIFIER Each clarifier unit of PT plant shall be guaranteed for an effluent capacity of not less than 3145 CU.M/ hr. meeting the effluent quality as mentioned below: Effluent quality at the outlet of all clarifiers shall be guaranteed for the following:- Iron content: Less than 0.3 mg/ litre. All the working tonners shall be mounted on digital weighing scale, each of 3 ton capacity and same shall be provided by bidder. Weighing scale reading shall be hook up with DDCMIS control system. Three (3) nos. electrically operated monorail hoist (each of 3 ton capacity) along with trailing cable, travelling trolley, control unit and accessories for PT & CW Chlorination Plant and River Water Chlorination Plant. Chlorine Leak Detector For CW and PT chlorination minimum 25 Numbers Chlorine leak detector (20 numbers in tonner area and 5 numbers in chlorinator room) with 4 probes each. For River water chlorination minimum 6 Numbers

Above requirement is minimum however any additional leak detector as required to meet the overall system requirement from safety point view, same shall be in bidder s scope. Leak detector should give automatic signal for auto start of chlorine leak absorption and signal will be sent to DDCMIS also. - - P & ID of ET plant Revised P & ID of ETP is attached here with for bidder s adherence. IIB REQUIREMENTS/ PRE-TREATMENT PLANT - - Bidder to note that pilot testing is in bidder s scope. Minimum requirement/ details of pilot testing has been given along with this amendment. However bidder to furnish the complete details of the pilot testing which shall be decided during detailed engineering. Pilot testing has to be performed by bidder based on actual worst river water condition in order to prevent any risk due to artificial test water. The pilot testing needs to be performed throughout the year (The testing is expected to be done once in a week during high tide and low tide period, however the exact frequency of testing shall be decided during detail engineering. After award of the contract bidder shall immediately start the pilot testing) to address the worst quality requirement and the

7 Page 7 of IIB REQUIREMENTS/ CW TREATMENT PLANT results should be reported as per the requirement of customer/bhel. A representative model of the clarifier shall be made to check performance of the system. For this a small diameter pipe of length around 5 m can be used with conical end for approx. duplicating the clarifier sedimentation process. Mixing arrangement shall be provided by bidder before the sedimentation pipe in which chemicals (Lime, FeCI3 and PE) shall be dosed. The flow to the sedimentation pipe shall be adjusted to replicate the rise rate of actual clarifier. The chemicals shall be dosed and the outlet water quality shall be checked. The dose of chemicals shall be done based on the jar testing of the water sample. During the pilot testing period observations shall be made to check whether the outlet parameters are met or not. If performance is significantly different from the desired parameters then dosing rates shall be adjusted and results shall be checked again. Further details shall be furnished during detailed engineering. Bidder to provide chemical catchment area for PE and Acid along with 2 nos. submersible pumps for transfer of each chemical spillage to flash mixers/ respective tank. All dosing pumps shall be provided by bidder with auto stroke controller so that chemical dosing rates can be selected from control panel. Oil skimmer shall be provided by bidder of proven type with successful track record. - - All dosing pumps shall be provided by bidder with auto stroke controller so that chemical dosing rates can be selected from control panel. Bidder to note that in case solid chemicals are used for CW Treatment Plant, suitable unloading and measuring measures, acceptable to BHEL/ customer, shall be provided by the bidder.

8 Page 8 of IIB 4. IIB REQUIREMENTS/ GAS CHLORINATION PLANT REQUIREMENTS/ GAS CHLORINATION PLANT Bidder to ensure proper distribution and mixing of CW Treatment Chemicals in CW Forebay. The same shall be reviewed and approved during detailed engineering without any price and delivery implication to BHEL/ Customer. Please note that no acid dosing has been envisaged. The plant will be operated at COC up to 5 (during lean period the plant may operate at 5 COC) depending upon the water quality. The system should be able to meet the varying requirement w.r.t. COC. Bidder shall provide 1 no. of flow transmitter each at common discharge header of CW Treatment Plant s dosing pumps - - Bidder shall provide 6 nos. online residual chlorine analyser for the close loop control of the control of the dosing requirement. Location shall be decided during detailed engineering. The dosing rate shall be automatically controlled based upon the flow and residual chlorine in the system. - - Bidder to provide chemical catchment area for caustic along with 2 nos. submersible pumps for transfer of chemical spillage to flash mixers/ respective tank. 5. IIB REQUIREMENTS/ EFFLUENT TREATMENT PLANT - - Bidder to provide chemical catchment area for all chemicals along with 2 nos. submersible pumps for transfer of each chemical spillage to respective tank/ preferred location. All dosing pumps shall be provided by bidder with auto stroke controller so that chemical dosing rates can be selected from control panel.

9 Page 9 of IIB REQUIREMENTS - - Bidder to provide flushing connection for all chemical and sludge pipes. If pumps are required, the same shall be in bidder s scope. 7. IIB REQUIREMENTS - - Wherever gravity flow is not possible due to gravity constraint, suitable pumping arrangement shall be provided by Bidder. 8. IIB SECTION IA/ SCOPE OF SUPPLY EFFLUENT TREATMENT PLANT AND AMENDMENT Lime dosing system shall be provided by bidder as indicated in Revised P & ID of ETP attached with this amendment. 9. IIB 10. IIB SECTION IA/ SCOPE OF SUPPLY EFFLUENT TREATMENT PLANT AND AMENDMENT 2 REQUIREMENTS - - Bidder shall provide 900 meter pipe along with accessories for dosing sodium bi sulphite in CW blowdown pump pits. This distance is from ETP area to CW forebay only however internal piping in respective area shall be considered by bidder in their scope as additional. - - Bidder to note that below: Materials of construction (pipe work-saline water) (raw water/ clarified water piping) Piping up to & including 50 NB shall be of duplex SS as per sch. 40s. Piping from 65 NB to 300 NB (including) shall be of duplex SS as per sch.10s. Piping 400 NB (including) to 800 NB (including) shall be carbon steel as per ASTM A671 with rubber lined flanged pipe. Piping 900 NB and above shall be carbon steel as per ASTM A671 with PU (polyurethane) coating internally with min. 2mm DFT as per AWWA-C-222

10 Page 10 of IIB REQUIREMENTS/ PRE-TREATMENT PLANT Materials of construction (pipework) (desalinated water pipes-non saline water) Piping up to and including 350 NB shall be carbon steel as per ASTM A53 Piping 400 NB & above shall be carbon steel as per ASTM A671. Materials of construction (pipework) (potable water pipe: downstream of potable water tank) ASTM A-53 TYPE E GR. B GALVANISED. - - In the clarifier sludge pit there shall be an inlet of 33 m3/hr of flow from Disilting chamber. Bidder to take note of this while designing the system. ***************************
