2 We ve always been focused on continuous development, investment in innovative technologies and sustained growth in treating waste from domestic and commercial business. We ve been recycling organic waste through our network of anaerobic digesters for over 60 years and we operate the largest number of digesters in the U.K. One area that has developed and grown is the liquid commercial waste division. It s role is to work with commercial companies that can t discharge their waste directly to the sewer network, and remote companies/ facilities that can t physically connect to the sewer network.

3 Why work with us? We currently operate ten liquid waste treatment facilities across the central region of England. Of these sites, two are permitted to process certain kinds of hazardous waste. There s more information on the type of waste accepted at our sites later in this leaflet. There are two methods of treatment for the liquid wastes we receive: Aerobic treatment of weaker liquids discharged via the inlet. Anaerobic treatment through the digesters - this produces green Welshpool renewable energy. Our liquid commercial waste waste sites are conveniently located across our region, near to major towns and cities we serve. We offer a sustainable, ethical and competitive treatment of a wide variety of liquid wastes, which helps our customers to generate green energy and ensures processing residues left are diverted from landfill. Instead, being they re used as an organic fertiliser as due to the high nutrient content. It also helps us to reach our goal of producing 50% of all of the energy we use from renewable sources by By focusing our efforts to process high chemical oxygen demand (COD) organic liquid wastes through the digesters we generate green energy. This helps both us and our customers to reduce our carbon footprint.
