6 14.0 ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT PLAN AIR POLLUTION CONTROL FOR MINING PROJECT AND STONE CRUSHER LOCATED ON MINING LEASE: - AIR QUALITY MANAGEMENT ANTICIPATED SOURCE OF GASEOUS EMISSIONS MINING STONE CRUSHER ON MINING LEASE Engines of vehicles, Operation of mining machinery/ loading operations, drilling and blasting, Stone Crushing. Wet drilling and low charge blasting is being/will be done. Operators are skilled to operate excavators. Drill operator and his helper is being/will be equipped with personal protective equipment (ear plugs/ear muffs). Construction of metalled or hard surfaced roads within the premises. Construction of wind breaking walls. Dust contaminant cum suppression system for the equipment. Regular cleaning and wetting of the ground within the premises. All vibratory screens will be totally enclosed in rigid and reasonably dust tight housing. If containment of dust within the screen house structure is not satisfactory, then a dust extraction and collection system should be provided. All grizzlies shall be enclosed on top and from three sides and sufficient water sprayers shall be installed at their feeding and outlet areas. Dust remain confined within enclosures. All transfer points to and from conveyor have been enclosed. Free falling transfer points from conveyor to stockpiles should be fitted with flexible curtains or be enclosed with chutes designated to minimize the drop height. Water spraying arrangements has been installed and operated at all strategic locations such as, at the feeding inlet of stone crushers, at transfer points on surface of all surge, piles and stock piles of blasted rocks or aggregates, all open stockpiles for aggregates of size in excess of 5 mm, active haul roads inside the workers etc. Sign board showing the name, address and capacity of the crusher has been maintained at the entrance of the premises. Guidelines for Abatement of pollution in stone crusher industry issued by the Board vide letter no F.14(38) policy/rpcb/plg./ dated
