2 Beize Agricutura Heath Authoritv ICAP CHAPTER 211 BELIZE AGRICULTURAL HEALTHAUTHORITY [FOOD PROCESSINGPLANTS) (PORTABLE WATER) (MINIMUM STANDARDS) REGULATIONS [ 7'h February, 2201.] 1. These Reguations may be cited as the Short tite. BELIZEAGRICULTURAL HEALTH AUTHORITY (FOOD PROCESSING PLANTS) (POTABLE WATER) (MINIMUM STANDARDS) REGULATIONS. 2. In these Reguations, uness the context otherwise requires:- Interpretation. "ceaning" means the remova of dirt or grease; "disinfectant" means the reduction of micro-organisms to a safe eve; "food processing enterprises" means any company, partnership or other business entity whichundertakes a singe or a series of actions to contro or change the properties of food through processing, but does not incude street vendors of food, caterers and restaurants; "potabe water" means water satisfactory for human consumption which meets a heath requirements; "sanitation" means the remova of dirt or grease, and the reduction ofmicroorganisms to a safe eve. (1) A food processing enterprise sha ensure that water used in standards to be observed by food its processing operations:- processing enterprises. as an ingredient or processing aid in contact with any food product; or (6) for rinsing or ceaning utensis and equipment; or for ceaning, sanitation or disinfection purposes; or (4 for rinsing or ceaning the foors or was of its processing pant; or (e) for handwashing by its staff invoved in food-handing operations; or as drinking water, when tested using the testing standards specified in subreguation (2), do not contain the bacteria and other matter specified in subreguation (3). (2) The testing standards referred to in subreguation (1) are:- testing using standards recommended by the American Pubic Heath Association; (6) testingusingstandards recommended by the American Water Works Association; testing using standards recommended by the Water Environment Federation; (4 testing using standards recommended by the United the Government of Bere.
