Expanding the thought of the great philosopher one can add, that those truly great discoveries happen deliberately as an effect of hard conceptual work. Such was the case with the street luminaire CLEVEO which is a result of thinking about what an ideal street lamp should be like and the experiences we ve been gathering since Functionality, extended longevity, and maximisation of energy savings these three assumptions served as a starting point to out thought process. Next, we added the easy control of the light depending on the time of night and weather conditions, and better colour representation owed to high-quality LED diodes. And so, in 2008 the CLEVEO was born a pioneer smart LED technology street lamp, next important step in this field since the 1930s, when the analogue sodium lamp was invented. Now it seems obvious, but back in 2008 when the CLEVEO was first presented, the use of LED diodes for lighting streets was a totally new concept. Numerous accolades won by our lamp at many competitions confirm this. One of them was the 1st place in the Product category at the 2009 Business for the Environment competition, organised by the Partnership for the Environment Foundation. The jury, and later the Clients, saw the future of street lighting in the CLEVEO. They have appreciated its cost effectiveness, increased comfort and safety of the public, as well as its ecological benefits: There s no need to change light sources, making the problem of their utilisation so crucial in case of sodium or mercury lamps a thing of the past. Today, the CLEVEO lamps light up the streets in Poland, Czech Republic, Sweden, Greece, and Kazakhstan, as well as numerous industrial zones, both in Poland and abroad.
