12 Case study: Cleveland Square Running costs reduced by over 75% Speedy installation, minimum disruption and investment costs recouped within the first 12 months. When approached by the managing agent of a luxury block of flats in central London to review their current heating system, we did not expect what we found. With a 60-year-old oil-fired heating system costing in excess of 80,000 a year to run, we knew it was in need of a completely new installation. Cleanheat were able to provide a competitive quotation and fitted an entire new boiler system, including high efficiency A-rated boilers, weather compensating controls and high efficiency EUP A rated pumps. Due to prefabrication and efficient planning, the job was completed with just one day of down time for hot water and heating - unheard of with such a large installation - and all achieved during the day, when most of the tenants were out at work. The heating system has been running for 12 months now and the savings have been even better than first envisaged. The annual running cost has been reduced from an average of 80,000 to just 19,000.
