11 Our local presence in India Regional liaison office established in 1982 to support the sales activities in India As sales activities in India increased over the years the liaison office expanded. In 2007 the office employed approximately 10 people At that time we had a very high global demand on our products and especially our engineering production was a bottleneck Building up an engineering center outside Denmark was strongly considered and India was selected due to the following reasons.

12 Engineering office in India - background Strenghts Haldor Topsøe A name well-known and respected in the fertilizer, refinery and chemical industry in India Availability of experienced technical man-power proficient in English Opportunities Take over some of the workload from Haldor Topsøe in Denmark and create more room for expansion and development of new products Increase our global competitiveness Attract talented Indian engineers to Haldor Topsøe who otherwise would be unavailable Strengthen and further develop scientific, engineering and business networks between Haldor Topsøe and India.

13 Development in no. of employees in HT- India

14 The future We forecast to double our global sales over the next five years A continued expansion of our Indian office is required in order to support this growth.
