2 Corporate Profile SP Chemicals is a Singapore-incorporated chemical raw materials manufacturer with operations based solely in the PRC, catering to the growing chemical industry in the PRC Listed on Main Board of the Singapore Exchange on 6 August 2003 Stock Performance 3 3 Our Business A leading player in the growing PRC chemical industry Backed by an 11-year track record in the PRC, SP Chemicals manufactures and sells chlor-alkali products and related downstream products. Products are used in a wide spectrum of industries including petrochemicals, textiles, paper, consumer goods, plastic polymers, rubber, dye, pharmaceuticals, metallurgy and defence. Customer base in the PRC spans the Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shandong provinces, as well as Shanghai. In 2004, we started exporting products to the US, Japan, Korea and Taiwan. 6 What s Next Latest Corporate Initiative PROJECTS IN VIETNAM Phu Yen Location Investment Objective Rationale Hoa Tam Petrochemical Park, Dong Hoa district, Phu Yen province, Vietnam Obtained IPA for 2 investment proposals: To build an integrated petrochemical industrial park of 1,300 hectares To build a naphtha cracking plant in the park, with production capacity of 800,000 tpa of ethylene per annum To supply raw materials to our own facilities in the PRC, and Hoa Tam Petrochemical Park, and to a lesser extent for export Schedule Target to be completed within 15 years in 2 development phases Phase One To build a naphtha cracking and utility plant; Targeted to be completed in Total : US$1.5 billion Phase Two To promote the Hoa Tam Petrochem Park and invite investment for upstream and downstream Petrochemical Projects.
