1 Interzoo 2012 TUNZE LED Waterproof, efficient, versatile and compact The way we design and equip our aquariums today is constantly changing. The new Tunze LED is our response to this ongoing trend. It is an impressive example of how pump and lighting technology can be transformed into a form of art. The purpose of our technology is to create better lighting and energy conditions and at the same time give every aquarium the opportunity to take full advantage of state-of-the-art technology. The new Tunze LED is the engineered combination of impressive luminance and a compact design, which has been innovatively teamed up with a flexible attachment option in the form of a magnet holder. It performs its duties with a safety extra-low voltage of only 11V and it is completely waterproof. The utilized Elite-LEDs guarantee very low luminance losses and a long service life. The well-thought-out attachments can be adjusted to your individual lighting desires for every aquarium and therefore open up completely new and highly aesthetic installation options. In combination with the new TUNZE Multicontroller 7097, up to four separate TUNZE LED can be controlled in terms of color and luminescence in order to simulate very natural daylight cycles. 2 Filter 3162 The advantages of the Tunze LED: Fully corrosion-resistant plastic construction, completely passively cooled without noisy or failure-prone fans. Fully waterproof (IP 68) sealed with resin, and mountable close to the water surface in order to reduce the luminance loss. Compact design which can be positioned at any point. Highly flexible mounting with a magnet holder. High degree of safety through 11V DC operation, cable length: 2.5 m (98.42 in.). Low operating costs and a high efficiency through 62 energy-efficient Elite-LEDs, white LEDs with up to 130 lm/w. Long service life due to a low operating temperature and perfect heat distribution. Optimal light distribution, ideally suited as the main lighting source for a nano-aquarium or supplement lighting for larger aquariums. Light color and intensity are controllable time-dependent with the new Tunze Multicontroller 7097 (not included). No problems in case of power failure: The optional safety connector permits a normal operation with the TUNZE power supply unit, but in case of a power failure it will automatically switch over to a battery or a DC source. Thanks to its small housing dimensions, combinations of multiple lamps are easily possible. The light output is multiplied, if the lights are mounted in close proximity. 3 DOC Skimmer 9004 The Comline DOC Skimmer 9004 is designed for use in seawater mixed aquariums / soft coral aquariums up to 250 litres (66 USgal.) or sensitive reef biotopes with stone corals up to 150 litres (40 USgal.). It works based on the TUNZE Flash Skimming principle, water supply is provided via an efficient surface intake system with bacteria film removal. Thus, the system can also be used as a standalone solution in the aquarium. The featured TUNZE Foamer generates many fine air bubbles with a diameter between 0.1 and 0.3mm, which ensures particularly silent operation. The Comline DOC Skimmer is ready for installation, including Magnet Holder up to a pane thickness of 12mm (.47 in.), for thicker panes, a second Magnet Holder can be used. Skimmer cup, 0.2l (.05 USgal.) volume, also accommodates the foam reactor, easy to remove. Surface intake with bacteria film removal. TUNZE Foamer , high air output and low energy consumption. The Flash skimming principle enables highly efficient foam production. Principle: Protein-rich surface water is mixed with water thoroughly in the TUNZE Foamer. On the surface of the air bubbles forming, pollutants such as protein, cellulose, dead cells, etc. are adsorbed immediately, the air bubbles are very fine, with a diameter between 0.1 and 0.3mm. The water/air mixture is expanded and stabilized in the skimmer cup, the water returns to the aquarium, and the protein-loaded air bubbles reach the skimmer cup reactor. The patented anti-overfoaming system intermediate chamber with phase water prevents the skimmer from overfoaming and controls the skimmer performance, depending on the water level and organic load. The particularly high efficiency of the flash skimming principle compared to large skimmers with long contact time is obtained because the substances adsorbed by the air bubbles are not released again, thus they don t return to the aquarium water again. It can be upgraded with controlled heaters up to 75W, TUNZE Osmolator and other Magnet Holders. Can be retrofit with controlled heaters up to 75W directly on the case, better heater efficiency, no risk of burns for animals. 6 Reefpack 250 Filters, skimmers and biological know-how are used in sea water aquariums; natural conditions are obtained, provided that there is a balance between the input and removal of food and additives. The combination of equipment and know-how results in the fact that pollutants discharged into the water by some organisms (e.g. fish) are either utilized by other species (e.g. corals, small organisms) or removed by means of technical equipment (e.g. filters, skimmers). N 2 -- NO NO NH 4 + Water change with Comline Reefpack 250: Until now, the usual water change could not be avoided in aquarium practice due to the high water pollution. Now, the universal and efficient filtering system Reefpack 250 reduces water changes to a minimum while maintaining the aquarium parameters at a very constant level. Comline Reefpack 250 The Comline Reefpack 250 features an optimum combination of technical filter components for seawater biotopes. It is designed to enable operating sensitive seawater aquariums from 60 to 250 litres (15 to 65 USgal.) at close-to-nature conditions. 7 DOC Skimmer The new DOC skimmers 9415 and 9430 have a very compact construction providing a high output at the same time, and thus can be fitted in every aquarium cabinet without any problems. They operate in conjunction with TUNZE Hydrofoamers or , which ensures the foam production and water circulation at the same time. Skimmer cup with large capacity; also contains the foam reactor; can be removed easily. Intermediate chamber with phase water: The patented Anti-Overfoaming System prevent an overfoaming of the skimmer and regulates the skimming action according to surface tension of the aquarium water and water level. The skimmer operates independently and automatically sets its best efficiency. The removable post-filter at the outlet of the skimmer permits perfect mechanical filtration through 300 µm (11.8 mil) nylon mesh with little biological action only. This ensures that no unwanted nutrient and nitrate sources develop in case of longer cleaning intervals. The filter can be filled with other filter media, such as activated carbon or phosphate absorber. Hydrofoamer Silence places the air generator at the top of its product class. The inner mixing cylinder stabilises the foam rise in the body and ensures bubble-free output water. 8 News For small aquariums, a stable osmotic balance is important, because they are particularly sensitive to constantly changing salt concentrations. The Osmolator nano which was specifically designed for this, is a water level controller with only a single sensor and is equipped with a processor-based controller that protects against overdosing.
