2 The EN 779:2012 standard EN 779:2012 standard - the essential innovations: The new standard now defines three filter classes: G, M and F. Therefore the previous classes F5 and F6 become M5 and M6. All filters classes F7 - F9 have to show additionally a minimum efficiency in treated state at the use of 0,4 µm particles to reach the respective class. The treated state is induced using isopropanol (highly flammable alcohol and solvent). In October 2012 the new standard came into force replacing the previous standard. Please note, that the filters according to the old standard EN 779:2002 may also be used. This decision is up to the customer. Adaptation of filter types - the new classification of the filter groups: Filter class G is defined by the mean efficiency measured during dust feeding of the air filter. Filter with an efficiency of less than 40% (for 0.4μm particles) are therefore classified as G. Filter class M groups together all those filters that have an efficiency between 40% and less than 80% for 0.4μm particles. This concerns the previous filters F5 and F6 which are now referred to as M5 and M6. Filter class F comprises all filters with an efficiency of more than 80% for 0.4μm particles. Additionally, class F has a minimum efficiency for discharged/charged state. Please refer to the required performance requirements using the table below. Overview of the new filter groups of the EN 779:2012 standard: Group Class Average gravimetric arrestance (Am) [%] Average efficiency (Em) for 0,4μm particles [%] Minimum efficiency for 0,4μm particles [%] Final pressure drop [Pa] Coarse G G G G4 > Medium M M Fine F F F9 - > Page 2 Product Catalogue PROsyntex

3 Delivery programme Pocket filter PROsyntex Air conditioning & ventilation technology Pre filtration (Supply Air) Fine Filtration (Supply Air) Painting and drying technology Fine Filtration (Supply Air) Filtration (Extracted Air) Pocket filter PROsyntex F7 Tested according to EN 779:2012 Pocket filter PROsyntex F8 Tested according to EN 779:2012 Pocket filter PROsyntex F9 Tested according to EN 779:2012 A The energy efficiency of filters To determine the energy efficiency of air filters, a new energy classification has been established. Its designation is based on the calculated average pressure drop and the resulting annual energy needs, in accordance with Eurovent 4/11. With this new classification, it is much easier to choose an energy efficient filter and reduce energy costs. Page 3 Product Catalogue PROsyntex

4 PROsyntex - the new synthetic medium syntex Oeko-Tex Standard 100 our media is kind to the skin and tested for harmful substances - a good feeling External confirmation that our products fulfil the requirements of Annex XVII of REACH Environment-friendly and easily disposable synthetic-media are fully incinerable Innovative and internal research & development department Quality assurance of running production with internal test benches for filters and modern quality management tools The PROsyntex pocket filter, with its new composition of synthetic fibres and a more efficient structure of filter layers, is achieving easily the minimum efficiency in treated state according to EN 779:2012. The progressive and very fine fibre structure of the medium allows a very high dust holding capacity. enefits of the PROsyntex filter medium: Irregular distribution Fine fibre structure of the glass fibres Normal number The brittle glass of fibres fibre holds the risk Higher dust holding of fibre shedding capacity compared to the glass fibre medium PROsyntex Very fine fibre structure High number of fibres Higher dust holding capacity compared to the glass fibre medium version 1 Synthetic fibre Highest quality of our filter products All the individual components of our products from the fibre to the filter, undergo permanent quality control. Glass fibre medium No glass fibres - unbreakable, good for environment Our synthetic media are certi fied in accordance with Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and therefore not only extremely efficient, but also particularly skin-friendly and free from hazardous substances. Classified as product class II, all our products fulfil all human ecological requirements and could even be worn next to your skin. PROsyntex-medium in comparison PROsyntex reaches the new EN 779:2012 Even after discharging, the new synthetic medium reaches the required minimum efficiency of the new standard EN 779:2012 without any problems.
