1 BARUT HOTELS ENVIRONMENT & SUSTAINABILITY Responsibility to Environment RESPECT We aim to control water, electricity, energy, chemical, solid waste quantities; to minimize damage caused to the environment and natural resources while making no concessions regarding the comfort of our guests. The use of natural resources has been reduced with measures taken in line with sustainable tourism principles; And practices have been updated to minimize and, where possible, eliminate any damage to soil, water and air. Some of the sustainability tourism applications at our hotels Recycling Renewable Energy Recycled materials are sorted in Barut Kemer which is proceeding in 2015 April. We are proud to share our recycling figures. An average of 15 tons of paper waste was recovered. As a result of recycling one ton of used paper waste, 16 grown pine trees and 85 square meters of forestland will not be destroyed. An average of 5,7 tons of metal waste was recovered. As a result of recycling one ton of metal waste, 1300 kg of raw material is preserved. An average of 59 tons of glass waste was recovered. If this glass waste is used in production, 315 kg of carbon dioxide emissions are prevented for every one ton of newly produced glass. An average of 9 tons of plastic waste was recovered. As a result of recycling one ton of plastic packing waste, energy savings of 14,000 kwh are achieved. An average of 2445 kg waste vegetable oil was given to recycle company in Barut Kemer has 110 Solar panels and some of the hot water require is provided from the panels. In this reason we reduce 15% LNG consumption at our Hotels.

2 Electricity, Water, LNG Consumptions ELECTRICITY CONSUMPTION During the winter season of 2017, the hotel has gone undergone extensive renovations. In the amendment, the consumption of electricity due to the use of the machine, which is heavily driven by electricity, has exceeded the target value. The hotel concept was extended for the summer season of 2018, and a large number of electrical machines, especially in the kitchen and F&B department, were purchased. The hotel was opened in April The hotel concept was extended.

3 In 2016 the hotel was opened a month early. Extensive renovations were made before the 2018 season.. Total electricity consumption in 2017 is Kwh; per person is 18,82 Kwh. The target for 2018 electricity consumption was determined not to exceed the consumption figures for 2017.

4 WATER CONSUMPTION In 2018 the hotel was opened in April. The pools were filled in March and there was no overnight stay so per person water consumption is high.

6 Total water consumption in 2017 is 59486m3; 0.40 m3 per person. The water consumption targets for the year 2018 have been determined not to exceed the water consumption last year. LNG CONSUMPTION

8 2017 LNG consumption is 1,333,480 Kwh; per person is 8.88 Kwh. The 2018 LNG consumption targets were set not to exceed the consumption figures of last year.

9 Biodiversity Conservation Homeless animal friends Birdhouses Wooden birdhouses are made for the birds who owns our hotel as a home. Birdhouses check periodically. Feeding are done regularly. Cats Cats who owns our hotel a home are feed with the cat foods specially. Our Other Applications In our Hotels in the act of opening the balcony doors, heating/cooling system shut down automatically. Energy saver system deactivates electric energy after the guest leaves the room. %85 Fluorescent light bulb and led lightening are preferred in our lightening system. Towel and sheets are changing for our guests demanding and we give an information to guests about it. If guests do not requests, changing are done every two days. In rooms and general areas double glazed windows are preferred for heat insulation. Our Hotel rooms televisions are low energy consumption. Mini bars are located to without direct sunlight to avoid heat in the guest rooms. In the room, bathrooms low flow (5lt/mn) special armatures are preferred. All armatures have aerator. In the room, showers low flow (10lt/mn) special shower heads are preferred. All shower heads have aerator. Air conditions evacuation waters are connected to flush tank to water conservation and its fixed to 6 lt to drain. In general areas toilets have touchless urinals. We route our guests not to throw away that read and want to disposed books, magazines and newspapers, and informed them to leave these items to our reading areas. Likewise books, magazines and newspapers that they would like to read, guests are route to reading area. Trained staff are collected the medical waste, injector, empty medicine boxes that guests used, in the manner that harmless to environment and people. We have waste battery box for dead batteries and if guest have used batteries we direct them to put them in it.

10 Recycle bins are placed in general area for our guest recycle waste. Public service vehicle are suggested for guest to trip to the city and informed them about the route. Time clock are used for exterior space lightening. Lightening times are set up for summer and winter season. We aware of contribution to local economy, for this reason %95 of the products procured from the local markets. We reduce to electricity consumption due to frequency inverters in heating system pomp, pressure tank pomp and main air conditional unit. Waste waters are connected to waste water unit at all our Hotels. Electronic communications channels (e-brochure, e-flyers, e newsletter, e-cart etc.) are preferred in Barut Hotels. Recycle paper are used for brochure and flyers printing in our Hotels. Within the scope of social responsibility, every beginning and end of the season, public beaches and forested land cleaning activities are organised with all our staff. Harmful the ozonosphere CFC (Chlofluorocarbon) gases are not used in industrial cold rooms and fire extinguishers at our hotels. Social Responsibilities Scholarships Scholarships are given to 40 students. 40 scholarships students hosted at our Hotels. Ramadan provision package are given to all staff at Ramadan month. Notebook, pen, stationary etc. donations are given to all staff s children who are student. Sponsored to Side feast. Contributed to Kepez district security building. Foods are given to society for protection of children. Contributed to Manavgat high school constructions. Contributed to Side Municipality rough work of building. Contributed to Manavgat district security building. Donating the institution such as Gendarme etc. Donation to schools: In Side, Ali İhsan BARUT elementary school made by BARUT GROUP, maintenance, repair and landscape works are done. In Gündoğdu village, Duriye DURAN elementary school made by BARUT GROUP, maintenance, repair and landscape works are done. Fair and rice day are organised for both school student at our hotels in some period.
