Ltd. Dongying China) FU Chao Abstract: During the Huangjiayan tunnel construction collapse and roof fall happened. The geological conditions of the tunnel project and the collapse causes were analyzed. After the comparative selection the treatment scheme of grouting the tunnel surface was decided. A series of measures were taken to deal with the accident such as densifying H beam frames taking curtain grouting using pipe-shield and ductule. Based on the treatment practice of the collapse accident some experience was summarized. Beijing China ) FANG Biao ZHANG De-shuan et al. Abstract: In a m 3 commercial crude oil depot project the tank wall assembly construction of 14 sets of m 3 floating roof tanks applied entirely the inverted assembly method. Because the influence of sand storm during the construction severe displacement of a tank took place that the southwest portion of the tank departed from its original foundation with the maximum displacement of m. The tank diameter was 81 m its height was 9.6 m and its whole mass was 370 t. The tank was positioned using the lifting method with multi cranes. The construction process features of the integral tank reposition by the method are described in this paper and the matters for attention in the construction are indicated as well. Key words: floating roof tank; lifting with multi cranes; integral reposition INNOVATION & PRACTICE (61) Application of Pipeline Optical Fiber Early-warning System in Safety Protection of Oil and Gas Pipelines ZHU Jian -xin ( CPP Pipeline Communication and Electric Power Co. Langfang China ) WANG Li-jun ZHANG Jin-quan et al. Abstract: A pipeline early-warning system based on optical fiber laser interference technique is developed by CPP Pipeline Communication and Electric Power Co. It applies the communication optical fiber cable buried in the same pipeline trench as distributed sensors to conduct the long-distance real-time monitoring of soil vibration along the pipeline. Through the intelligent analysis on the vibration signals it judges the event threatening pipeline safety and makes accurate locating for the event and gives an alarm so that to implement the early-waning for pipeline. Key words: oil and gas pipelines; safety early-warning system; distributed optical fiber sensors; online real-time monitoring (64) Exploring Leakage Test Technique for Overseas Large Scale Floating Roof Tanks PAN Yue (China Petroleum First Construction Co. Luoyang China ) GUO Jing-bo Abstract: At present there is no concrete requirement for leakage test of floating roof tank demanded by China national standards or American Society of Petroleum standards. In the construction of five m 3 floating roof tanks of the t/a condensate oil project in Algeria China Petroleum First Construction Co. explores the leakage test of the floating roof tanks for the first time in order to response the owner s requirement. Two leakage test schemes are fully discussed and existing problems and doubtful points in the leakage tests are brought forward in this paper. Key words: floating roof tank; leakage test; technical discussion (66) Common Cracks in Concrete Pavement and Cracks Prevention and Treatment SUN Zhan-wang (Tianjin Wuzhou Container Terminal Co. Ltd. 5 Abstract: Most roads in Tianjin Harbor zone have concrete pavement. The local breakages of the concrete pavement occur frequently owing to serious vehicle overloads or pavement defects induced by improper roadbed treatment concrete quality and construction process which lead to shorten the road service life obviously. In combination with the practical experience from cement concrete road construction in recent years this paper analyzes several common patterns of pavement cracks and their causes as well as prevention measures and maintenance methods. Key words: concrete pavement; crack; settlement; treatment measure (69) Research on Vegetation Protection and Restoration at Refinery Plant in Africa Desert Area LIN Dong-qing (Zhejiang Forestry College Hangzhou China) WANG Jian WANG Qing Abstract: In recent years more and more companies are going abroad to participate international petroleum engineering construction. Owing to the particularity of petroleum industry its construction and production activities are possible to pollute the air water soil and so on especially to pollute the local environment. For the sake of building up excellent image of an international enterprise the establishment of overseas green petroleum engineering encampment is an urgent task. Taking the vegetation protection and restoration at a refinery plant in Africa desert area for example this paper introduces the method of protecting and restoring the encampment vegetation. According to the characteristics of the drought climate in desert area some drought tolerant plants are recommended and discussed with respect to soil preparation planting and irrigation. Key words: desert area; petroleum engineering; vegetation restoration (73) Reasoning of Technical Scheme Using Gas Turbine to Drive Water Injection Pump Directly ZHENG Tie -xu ( Electric Power Engineering Design Institute Daqing Oilfield Electric Power Group Daqing China) LI Guo-quan Abstract: Large amounts of natural gas produced in oilfield exploration and production are generally exhausted by burning which wastes energy source and pollutes environment. But most oilfield water injection systems use electromotors to drive water inject pumps with large amount electric power consumption. Therefore applying gas turbine to drive water injection pump directly can effectively utilize the exhaust natural gas which has the functions of energy-saving and environmental protection. This paper discusses the necessity and feasibility of applying gas turbine to drive water injection pump directly and makes technical and economic contrasts on main functions and parameters between two kinds of gas turbines. Key words: gas turbine; water injection pump; energy-saving DISCUSSING EACH OTHER (75) Cognition on Prescribed Misalignment Value of Steel Pipe Edges LI Wei (Construction Division of Jiangshu Petroleum Bureau Jiangdu China) ZHENG Wei Abstract: Incomplete fusion of misaligned steel pipe edges as a welding defect has been listed into the weld quality grade assessment by means of X-ray detection. In some active standards and codes the prescriptions on misalignment values are loose so that it leads to the drop of welding qualified rate and the increase of repair rate. The author considers that in the revision of standards and codes the pipe wall thickness should be taken as the main factor of prescribing misalignment values. Key words: pipeline welding; misalignment value of pipe edges; standard discussion (78) Analysis on Code for Quality Acceptance of Oil and Gas Construction Engineering and Its Implementation Status LIU Cheng - wen ( Capital Construction Department of Liaohe Petroleum Exploration Bureau Panjin China) Abstract: This paper studies the newly issued Code for Quality Acceptance of Oil and Gas Construction Engineering General Rule. By comparing it with the traditional quality inspection and assessment standards the main alterations in the new code are indicated. The existing problems during the code implementation are analyzed and the suggestions on the code implementation are offered.
