1 Bridgewater State College Energy and Water Conservation Project

2 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The Massachusetts Division of Capital Asset Management (DCAM) and Bridgewater State College (BSC) selected Ameresco Select Inc. (ASI) to provide comprehensive energy and water conservation upgrades at Bridgewater State College, a state institution of higher Education located in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. The goal of this project is to reduce energy and water costs and provide capital improvements to the campus infrastructure. Following is a timeline of milestones achieved: RFP Issued April 2004 Contractor Selection March 2005 DEA Start March 2005 DEA Submittal January 2006 ESA Execution March 31, 2006 Contract Completion Date June 30, 2007 Actual Completion Date June 15, 2007 Final Project Notification August 28, 2007

3 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY (cont d) Of the five options presented, DCAM and BSC selected ASI based on Option 2A: 20 Year Central Utilities. This option includes a comprehensive package of measures that would deliver significant energy and water cost savings; provide valuable infrastructure improvements; improve reliability and occupant comfort; provide electric generation; and reduce the maintenance burden. The scope of work completed, comprises a project of $10.7 million to implement the 24 measures which deliver energy and water cost savings of $956,249. After debt service, the net annual savings to the College is $ 33,249. Table ES-1 summarizes the economics Total of Project Cost $ 10,442,355 the program recommended by ASI.
