Instruction Data from sites to be used for Arla s CSR reporting Purpose Link Data will be used for Arla Foods CSR reporting, including follow up on the environmental strategy and calculating Arla s global Carbon Footprint. This link will lead you to the Arla Foods Data collection: Login Fill in data Approve data Log out Contact Username and password are the same as you normally use. Observe that there is only one login per site, which means if somebody else must fill in some of the data for your site, they will have to use the same login as you and you are responsible for providing them with this information. 1. You can choose English, Swedish, or Danish as language. This will change in the form, but not in the rest of the website. Some help sections have been updated in English, but not in Swedish and Danish (e.g. solid waste). 2. Click on the links to the left and fill in all data. NB. Remember to use dot as decimal-point. 3. Remember to click the Save and return button, if not your answers will not be saved. Press the Form link in the top menu to return to start menu. Sign report: Click Sign and Complete. You have now approved the data and the form is locked. Press the Log out tab in the top of the web-page. If you have any further questions, forgotten password, etc., please contact: Anna Flysjö Malene Thrane anfls@arlafoods.com mathr@arlafoods.com

Instructions on how to report in CSP Raw material consumption All milk and other raw material consumption used in production at sites shall be reported. (Raw milk that is taken in and then sent away to other site without any pasteurizes at this site shall not be reported here). The categories to report in are: Milk (raw milk, processed milk, cream, butter milk and other liquid dairy products), Butter, Cheese, Powder, Whey, Salt, Fruits/jam, Sugar, Vegetable oil and Non milk based products (all other raw materials including water for recombination and juice production shall be reported here). Energy consumption and sold energy Fossil fuel All fossil fuel used for onsite production of heat and power shall be reported here. Conversion factors between volumes and energy content can be found in the help section text in CSP. Renewable fuel All renewable fuel used for onsite production of heat and power shall be reported here. Electricity and district heating All energy used but not produced on site shall be reported here. All electricity use (including heating, lightning etc.) shall be reported. District heating can be reported as either conventional or based on renewable sources. If it is possible to find out how the district heating is produced, separation should be made between the share of fossil and renewable, where the fossil part should be reported as conventional and renewable part should be reported as renewable sources. (Even though this is not hundred percent correct, it is the best we can do for this years reporting.) Sold energy All electricity and heat produced on site, but sold and used outside Arla shall be reported here. Water consumption External mains water Consumption of water from external systems (measured before internal treatment). Internal borehole water Consumption of water from boreholes on site (measured before internal treatment). 2/5

Products Products for sale All finished products ready for sale or distributed to be packed at another site shall be reported here. All unprocessed products or products only pasteurized and transferred to other Arla sites shall not be reported here. The different categories to report in are: Fresh dairy products (milk, cream, yoghurt, cottage cheese etc), Butter & spreads, Cheese, Powder and Non milk based products (e.g. juice). By-products By-products are divided into former foodstuff to animal feed, whey and other to animal feed and former foodstuff for reprocessing (sold to other company), and shall be reported accordingly. Waste and waste water What kind of waste should be reported in CSP? All waste has to be reported; that is both product waste, and any other type of waste that is derived from the dairy - even waste that is in relation to renovation, maintenance, construction, etc. In CSP, waste needs to be split into Product waste, Sludge, Solid Waste and Hazardous waste. Product waste is all waste that result from waste which would otherwise have been sold as a product. All products going to animal feed or sold to reprocessing at another company shall not be reported as waste, but as by-products (described in the category above). By solid waste, CSP is referring to all waste that is not product waste, sludge or classified as hazardous waste. If it is not possible for you to find out how some of the waste is treated you can assume the waste treatment to be the same as the most common treatment in the country. In the text in the help section in CSP, EU s different Recovery and Disposal (R&D) codes are displayed for each category to facilitate for the dairies using these codes. Product waste Product waste shall be reported in amounts going to Biogas, Composting, Farm land and Other. Remember to fill in numbers in all fields (i.e. if nothing is going to e.g. biogas a zero should be entered). Sludge Sludge shall be reported in amounts going to Biogas, Composting, Farm land and Other. Remember to fill in numbers in all fields (i.e. if nothing is going to e.g. biogas a zero should be entered). 3/5

Solid waste Solid waste is reported in amount going to recycling, incineration and landfill. Below follows a description of the different waste treatments. Recycled waste If the dairy, in collaboration with a waste supplier, has sorted the waste in different fractions and containers (for instance: paper, plastic, metal) and then have an agreement with the waste supplier that the different waste fractions should be recycled, then this should be reported under Recycled Waste within the appropriate labels (plastic, paper, glass, metals and other). Waste for incineration If you have containers that get filled with either wood waste or mixed waste going to incineration, and have an agreement with a waste supplier that the waste will be incinerated, then the waste should be reported here. Please observe that if the waste is mixed waste that also contains product waste (e.g. packaging that has product inside it) and it is sent for incineration, it shall be reported under solid waste even if parts of it include product waste, either liquid or solid. Waste for landfilling If you have a container of waste (not hazardous) that is going to landfills, and have an agreement with a waste supplier that that this is sent to landfill, then you must report it here. Arla Foods is fully responsible for all waste across the value chain, so even if a transportation or waste company picks up the waste and then sells it on to a third party or more which then disposes the waste to landfill, it is Arla s responsibility to keep track of such waste disposal and we must report it in CSP. Hazardous waste For hazardous waste, you must ensure that you get reporting back from the waste suppliers on how the waste was treated (recycled, incinerated, landfilled) as it is the waste supplier who decides how the hazardous waste will be treated. Waste water All waste water from production shall be reported here to the categories Recipient, External treatment and Soil. COD, Total N, Total P There are three overall categories that need to be reported on. COD before treatment COD after treatment Total N and Total P 4/5

Transports This module is only available to selected sites, so if it is not part of your reporting form, do not worry. If it is part of your reporting form, and you are unsure what to report, contact Anna Flysjö Only internal transport shall be reported here (new from 2014), that is trucks where the driver is an Arla employee. All other transports shall be reported as external transports and this reporting should be done by our transport suppliers. For internal transports the total amount of the various fuels diesel, RME (Rape seed Methyl Ester), HVO, ED95 (ethanol for diesel engines), BIO+ (a mixture of diesel, HVO and RME), LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas), LBM (Liquefied Bio Methane) and Petrol shall be reported (these are the most common ones used within Arla). For example, if you use a blend of 7% RME and 93% diesel you should report 7% of your fuel use as RME and 97% as diesel. If any fuel is missing, choose the one that you think corresponds best with your fuel. Also total distance of all trucks shall be reported. Occupational Health & Safety performance data Enter information about working hours, work-related accidents and absence caused by workrelated accidents. See text in help section in CSP for further guidance. Legal and other requirements Specify information about environmental licenses and permits. See text in help section in CSP for further guidance. Environmental Management System Specify what environmental management systems etc. that are in place. Comments or remarks If there are any final comments or remarks you can report them here. 5/5
