About Ecovation Leaders 2017 One Day Forum This Think Green event will feature guest speakers that will provide insight on how to reduce your carbon footprint in your business. Ecovation Leaders one-day form will provide members with an opportunity to introduce their green products, technologies and services to the buyers of construction; in turn; promoting the clean growth of our province and to bring awareness regarding the reduction of their firm s carbon footprint. In the adoption of clean technology processes, companies (members) may lower cost, enhance efficiencies and increase output, which improves their competitiveness in the construction market. Good Day Delegates, Message from the Event Chair Ecovation Leaders One Day Forum is the first event for our Centre of Ecovation, which is a new pillar of our association. The Centre of Ecovation is a centre of knowledge for NLCA members in innovation and environmental products and technologies for advancement in the commercial and industrial construction industry sector. The Centres' mandate is to collect and disseminate information and resources to NLCA members and buyers of construction looking to reduce the environmental impacts of commercial and industrial construction in Newfoundland & Labrador. I would like to welcome everyone to this one-day forum and thank our speakers, supporters, invited guest and delegates for their support of this event and their continued support of the association. All sectors will need to play a part, including the built environment. This session will explore how climate change is impacting buildings, how the federal government is responding, and next steps for the provincial government.
