4 Overview of Himalayan Hydro Expo 2018 Himalayan Hydro Expo 2018, first ever international event being organized in Nepal, is all set to explore wonderful opportunities to investors, partners, professionals, reserachers and interested people. This is the large- scale exhibition which will expose the facts about Nepal s hydropower potentials, challenges and opportunities relating to water resource management, hydropower development and potential market at the global level. Though it is being organized in Nepal, located between two tiger economies of the world - India and China. It will also transmit good messages to the potential investors in the whole South Asia region. Beyond the hydroelectricity, the need of water for irrigation and drinking come side by side as a major priority. This Himalayan Hydro Expo 2018 is focusing for the maximum benefits of investors, researchers, hydropower producers, engineers, entrepreneurs and water experts from around the world from January 5 to 7, 2018 at Bhrikutimandap, International Exhibition Centre, Kathmandu. This Expo will also turn out a milestone event to explore additional opportunities as to how building hydro projects in Nepal in affordable cost as per the availability of high volume water, best project sites on the rocky hills, gorges and the millions of youth to be attracted for employment. Objectives To increase investment potentials and profile of hydropower developers at the global level. To showcase products and technologies for the expansion of new and unexploited sectors/areas. To advice related stakeholders to identify and access the key decision makers, builders and investors. To create linkages between developers and other key stakeholders. To provide space for launching new products & services. To sustain market presence in the existing industry. 4

5 Features of Expo More than 1,00,000 visitors are expected to visit the Expo. Over 150 participating hydropower companies, construction companies, colleges, INGOs, associations, monitoring/maintenance companies and government authorities under the same umbrella. The expo will further highlight the facts and figures relating to the current need of energy in Nepal and in the future. Engineers, investors, and advocates from associated sectors are invited. Various competitions for students such as demonstration of Final Year Project from the electrical engineering background. The expo managed by a group of power producers and event managers themselves. The Expo has the strong support from government authorities and private companies of Nepal. All exhibitors will have the opportunity of getting extensive media coverage. 12 different issues on hydropower sector will be discussed in the seminar on the sidelines of the event. 9 Terms and conditions of participants 1) SPACE: - i) Space available inside hall 6m X 6m (bare space) ii) Space available Inside Hanger A 6m X 6m. (bare space) iii) Space available inside hanger B 3m X 3m (octanorm stall) iv) Stall size for custom design should be max. 12.5ft height. [Please Note: - If the Participants want to build custom design stall on the bare space, can contact us directly if not required the normal Octanorm stall will be provided with extra charge basis only if available.] 2) SPACE COSTING: - a. 6m x 6m bare space costs 2,00,000 NRs (2,000 US$) + VAT (13%) b. 10m x 10m open space costs 4,00,000 Nrs (4,000 US$) + VAT (13%) c. 3m x 3m octanorm stall with 1 table, 2 chairs and a socket (100 watt) with 2 tube lights costs 50,000 NRs (500 US$) + VAT (13%) 9 d. IPPAN members only: i. 6m x 6m bare space costs 2,00,000 NRs (2,000 US$) including VAT (13%) ii. 3m x 3m octanorm stall with 1 table, 2 chairs and a socket (100 watt) with 2 tube lights costs 50,000 NRs (500 US$) including VAT (13%) 3) The bare space will be handed over to the exhibitor/s 2 days (48 hours) before the Expo date for the Main Hall and hanger. And 1 day for octanorm stall inside the hall and the hanger. 4) For Stall allocation, and other issues, the decision made by the management committee will be final. 5) Stalls will be provided on- first- come- first- served (FCFS) basis at the time of Stall booking. 6) Stall booking cannot be confirmed until advance payment is received. 7) 100% of the total amount should be paid during the booking of the space for the event. 8) Payment can be made by cheque / cash / swift transfer.
