Fortunately, this is changing and parking garages today are bright, safe and more upscale. Owners and real estate managers realize that better looking garages also attract more customers. Because of the need for safety and personal security, parking areas are often lit 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. No other space in commercial or industrial real estate has such intermittent tenant usage. The hermetically sealed glass tube (IP67) protects the LED module from chemical contamination and moisture, two of the most common reasons behind LED system failiure. 5 Aura E-2002N DALI/DSI Presence sensor The Aura E-2002N DALI/DSI Presence sensor detects movement using a highly sensitive microwave detector. With this presence sensor you can ensure that the light is on where it is needed, and dimmed to a lower level in areas where no presence is detected. The sensor measures the overall light level in the detection area and calculates the correct output for the luminaires to achieve a preset lux level. This means that there is no over-lighting in the intial installation and the sensor automatically adjusts for the lumen depreciation in the LED light source over time. Remember this: Only Aura Light s LED lighting solution for parking garages puts safety and security first while delivering up to 70% lighting energy savings. The garage should be divided into lighting zones for maximum energy savings as well as maximum security. Parking spaces closest to entry will always be occupied first. The lights should only dim up in areas where a person or vehicle is moving. When no presence is detected the light should dim back down to a determined low lux level. For dynamic and user friendly lighting control careful consideration should be taken in planning sensor placement. 5
