Land Use Lake Okeechbee Service Area (LOSA) Basins were updated using cnsumptive use permit infrmatin as f 2/21/12, as reflected in the LOSA Ledger prduced by the Water Use Bureau C-43 Grundwater irrigated basins Permitted as f 2010, the dataset was updated using land use, aerial imagery and 2010 cnsumptive use permit infrmatin Dminant land use in EAA is sugar cane ther land uses cnsist f shrub land, wet land, ridge and slugh, and sawgrass LOSA Basins Lwer Istkpga, Nrth Lake Shre and Nrtheast Lake Shre demands and runff estimated using the AFSIRS mdel and assumed permitted land use (see land use assumptins rw). Lake Okeechbee Lake Okeechbee Regulatin Schedule 2008 (LORS 2008) Includes Lake Okeechbee regulatry releases t tide via L8/C51 canals Lake Okeechbee regulatry releases limited t 1,550 cfs fr Miami Canal and 1,350 cfs fr Nrth New River Canal based n studies perfrmed by USACE. A reginal hydrlgic surrgate fr the 2010 Adaptive Prtcl peratins utilized. This attempts t mimic desired timing f releases withut estimating salinity criteria Lake Okeechbee Water Shrtage Management (LOWSM) Plan Interim Actin Plan (IAP) fr Lake Okeechbee (under which backpumping t the lake at S-2 and S-3 is t be minimized) Temprary frward pumps as fllws: S cfs S cfs S cfs Page 1 f 6

Calsahatchee River Basin irrigatin demands and runff estimated using the AFSIRS mdel and assumed permitted land use as f February 2012 (see land use assumptins rw). Public water supply daily intake frm the river is included in the analysis. St. Lucie Canal Basin demands estimated using the AFSIRS mdel and assumed permitted land use as f February 2012(see land use assumptins rw). Excess C-44 basin runff is allwed t backflw int the Lake if the lake stage is 0.25 ft belw the Zne D pulse release line. Basin demands include the Flrida Pwer & Light reservir at Indiantwn. Indian River Lagn Suth Prject features As-built Ten-mile Creek Reservir and STA: 1316 acre-feet maximum strage capacity at 2 maximum perating depth n 658 acre effective ftprint; receives excess water frm Nrth Flk Basin; peratins per TMC Preliminary Operating Plan (SFWMD, June 2015) Brightn reservatin demands were estimated using AFSIRS methd based n existing planted acreage The 2-in10 demand set frth in the Seminle Cmpact Wrk plan equals 2,262 MGM (millin gallns per mnth). AFSIRS mdeled 2-in-10 demands equaled 2,383 MGM While estimated demands, and therefre deliveries, fr every mnth f simulatin d nt equate t mnthly entitlement quantities as per Table 7, Agreement (Nv. 1992), tribal rights t these quantities are preserved LOWSM applies t this agreement Page 2 f 6

6 Fig. 2 RSMBSN Link-Nde Ruting Diagram: 2016 Existing Cnditin Simulatin Ntes: The RSM is a rbust and cmplex reginal scale mdel. Due t the scale f the mdel, it is frequently necessary t implement abstractins f system infrastructure and peratins that will, in general, mimic the intent and result f the desired prject features while nt matching the exact mechanism by which these results wuld be btained in the real wrld. Additinally, it is smetimes necessary t wrk within established paradigms and fundatins within the mdel cde (e.g. use available input-driven ptins t represent mre cmplex prject peratins). The bundary cnditins alng the eastern and suthern bundaries f the RSMBN mdel were prvided frm either the Suth Flrida Water Management Mdel (SFWMM) r the RSM Glades-LECSA Mdel (RSMGL). The SFWMM was the surce f the eastern bundary grundwater/surface water flws, while the RSMGL was the surce f the suthern bundary structural flws. Page 6 f 6
