HATC coordinates the activities of our many extrusion plants, casthouses and manufacturing facilities. Extrusion & fabrication Hydro s North American extrusion network consists of 10 extrusion, drawn tubing, fabrication, finishing and contract manufacturing facilities. A common system allows for easy transfer of work between plants to accommodate unique production requirements. Casthouses From six casthouses, we operate the nation s largest remelt network producing primary-grade billet with high recycled content. Alloys are customized to meet specific customer needs. Automotive sub-frames and bumpers We supply extrusion-based components and systems for crash management and other structural applications and deliver more aluminum bumper beams than any other company in the world. Heat exchanger products Our precision aluminum tubes can be found in air conditioning systems, evaporators, charge air coolers and radiator applications. A special nyloncoated aluminum tube is used for automotive fluid lines for fuel, power steering, HVAC and hydraulics. Sheet products Hydro provides a comprehensive range of hot and cold rolled strip and sheet. Aluminum coils for transformers and electro technical applications are just a subset of our offerings. Magnesium die casting* Hydro holds an an equity position in Meridian, a full-service supplier of magnesium die casting components and assemblies.
