Features of the plants are minimal energy consumption, low upkeep, stable and totally savourless technological working. 4 POLYDOX Steps of the cleansing regarding POLYDOX 6: PRE-SEDIMENTATION The place of the mechanical cleansing. The function is to detach the scraggy contamination from the water, and to store the needless sludge that was biologically demolished. AEROB cell The whole biological demolition and nitrification is made in the reactor cell. POST-SEDIMENTATION The function is to detach the sludge and the material that can be eluted. The recirculation of the eluted sludge is made by the pump that placed in the post-sedimentation cell. The recirculated sludge gets into the aerob-cell. The sewage is moving gravitationally between the cells, except the water that flows from the pre-sedimentation cell to aerob cell, it is made by a pump. The cleaned sewage also flows out gravitationally from the plant. The declassified oxygen is needed for oxidation process is made from compressed air. The compressed air is produced by a membranecompressor is placed in one box with the control panel. The compressed air is blowing from the rounded, little bubbled aeration units with flexible membranes underneath the fix buttery charged cartridges. 4

5 The control panel provides the blowing of the air, and the controlling of the pump. The system is able to work in manual and automatic mode. In automatic mode the control panel and the aeration unit is operated by the control panel programmed in advance: the pump is started in every two hours to flow the sewage from the presedimentation cell to the aerob cell. The aeration unit is started and stopped by the control panel (by the time the programming) The sludge mixer pump is started on every two hour for 5 minutes. The stabilization of the sludges (raw, primer sludge, aerob spare sludge) is made in anaerob circumstances, the sludge is stored in the pre-sedimentation cell. This cell guarantees month storage for the sludge,that ensures the favorable stability. The transport of the stabilized sludge is made by sniffing tank truck. The clarified sewage mostly piped to drain-field. The proper sized drain-field is defined by the a designer of WWTP. The plant is installed under the surface, monitoring and servicing is made throw the five manhole cap. ( II. 25. ) KvVM decree about the limit values of the outflowing contaminants and particular regulations regarding the quality of the outflowing water in case of running directly into the reciever is in accordance with the limit values of the 2., 3., and 4., local areas. Instruction of installation: PE WWTP manufactured by POLYDUCT Co. is for clarifying communal and preclarifying industrial sewage max 0,9 m 3 /day, can be sunked into the ground. Important: To avoid any kind of problem please check the instruction manual before starting the installation and take it with you! Please observe the labour protection instructions written in the manual. The installation is made by a plan in accordance with the characteristics of the location made by POLYDUCT ZRT. or a commissioned technical designer who has the right to make it Choosing proper installation area and terms of it: Have to be a clean area for installation with 2 m diameter, for making a hole without any kind of problem. Have to be 1m buffer zone between the plant and the nearly building. Do not build above the plant. Avoid installing the plant at an underground water area. If it is not possible the tank have to be anchored, so please ask for the help of our specialist. The plant can be installed under a road used by pedestrians, but do mustn t install under road used by motor-vehicle. Do not put the tank nearer than 2,5 m from tree trunk or other plants. Plant only the kind of plant whose roots will not press the tank while it is growing. 6

7 In the case of installing on slope, have to be tested the 5m wide area around the tank if there is a need of building a supporting wall Tank installation a.) excavation of installation hole Please make an installation hole with flat bottom, size have to be bigger with 0,3 m than the biggest size of the tank (ø 1,6 m), to make possible refilling and aggregating the subgrade. To avoid ripping danger the wall of the hole have to be widen with bevel. While defining the depth of the hole the minimum 15 cm thickness of the concrete subgrade, and the maximum 30 cm thickness of covering on the plant have to be taken into consideration. After excavating the hole form the thickness horizontal flat gravel subgrade (have to be aggregated 3 times with machine or with equivalent manual aggregation). b.) installation of the tank, and making the pipe connections Lift down the tank circumspectly (with belts) to the hole, check if it is horizontal. The lifting handles on the tank can bee used only when it is empty (the weight of the tank is approximately 160 kg). c.) filling in, aggregation Fill in the half of the tank with water. Put the cover onto the tank to avoid falling the gravel and the sand into the tank while filling the hole. Stratify the sand and sand-gravel mixture material (sized 0,8-0,32 mm) in -0,1 m thick layers around the tank. Please aggregate smoothly every layer by hand. Mustn t use aggregator! Do not refill the exempted soil near the tank. If the subgrade as high as the water in the tank, the inlet and outlet pipes have to be connected and fill in the tank with water totally. After it carry on making the subgrade as we defined earlier. Check the connected pipes. it have to be fixed well, and without any kind of tension. For making the last 20 cm subgrade use the soil excavated from the hole, do not use sharp gravels! 9.3. Installation of the control panel Install the control panel somewhere in the 5m wide area of the WWTP, provide the electric connection with connecting a MTK land cable. The electric network have to be connected fix! Only have to be made by educated electrician! The numbered outputs of the air valve on the control panel have to be connected to 7

8 the connectors of the tank that has the same numbers. The plant can be operated from 230 V network with protecting earthing. Protection from possible pulsating voltage is the task of the customer. Suggested to use FI relay between the control panel and the network. Have to be made touch defensive tests before starting the operation, the report made about it have to be retained by the customer. Have to be made harmless the plant before doing some work on it! 9.4. Clear-water test Have to be checked the aeration system, the recirculation pump and the gravitational flowing between the cells on the tank filled till the operation horizon. After finishing the succesfull clear-water test, the plant have to be connected to the sewage system. 10. Operating and servicing instruction The POLYDOX biological WWTP do not requires continual control, contrary to the alive sludge biological WWTP, but the periodic control is needed, other safety technique equipments are not needed. Have to be checked and the aeration units in every 5-6 years, and change it if it is needed. Dangerous gases aren t evolved in the reactor cell, special safety regulations are not needed. If the plant is not placed in a closed area, it have to be surrounded by a fence, to avoid incompetent incursion. Have to be appointed a responsible person to manage. The responsible person have to organize the monitoring, maintenance and continual writing the operational blotter. Continual monitoring is not needed. Temporary tests have to be made by the table hereinafter. The monitoring have to be made also for the connecting works. In the case of exceptionable operation the mistake have to be beat off, the sampling have to be made again to check if the plant works well. Elementary procedures and machines: Blower-the blowing of the air can be controlled by a valve. Recirculation pump. Have to be controlled by a determined time program.
