2 STATEMENT OF INTENT 3M Canada has a long history of responsible environmental stewardship, and remains committed to continuous improvement in Environmental, Health and Safety performance. We comply with respective regulations, but that is just a starting point. In many cases, our corporate policies and goals far exceed legal requirements. 3M Canada adopts the 3M Company Corporate Sustainability Goals which strive for continued environmental improvements, including reductions in air emissions, energy and waste. Reductions in air emissions, energy (GHG emissions) and waste have been achieved through product reformulation (including solventless technology), pollution prevention programs, the use of efficient pollution control equipment, process and equipment optimization, energy conservation programs, improvements in our manufacturing processes, including capital investment to upgrade to newer, more efficient equipment. These initiatives are managed in conjunction with an established Environmental Management System (ISO14001). Through this framework we will continue to develop products that support a sustainable environment. Where feasible and practicable, reduction options identified to reduce the use, creation and discharge of toxic substances will be accomplished taking into account 3M Corporate policies, programs, targets and objectives. More information on 3M Sustainability and Environmental Policy can be found at N-BUTYL ALCOHOL Where feasible and practical, reduction options identified to reduce the use and discharge of n-butyl alcohol will be accomplished taking into account 3M Corporate policies, programs, targets and objectives. Many options that were identified during the planning process that reduce the use and discharge of n- Butyl alcohol are initiatives that are already in progress. Initiatives currently in progress are deemed to be proprietary in nature. Through the framework previously described in the Statement of Intent, we will continue to monitor the progress of these initiatives and report on the use, discharge and contained in product as required by the regulation. n-butyl alcohol is used for on-site use/processing in the manufacturing of finished and semi-finished goods. Toxic reductions plans have been completed and reduction options have been identified for n-butyl alcohol as per the Toxic Reduction Act and Regulation. Many options that were identified during the planning process that reduce the use, discharge and contained in product of n-butyl alcohol are initiatives that are already in progress. Initiatives currently in progress are deemed to be proprietary in nature and therefore are not formally discussed in this summary. Through the framework previously described in the Statement of Intent, we will continue to monitor the progress of these initiatives and report on the use, discharge and contained in product as required by the regulation.

3 CYCLOHEXANE Where feasible and practical, reduction options identified to reduce the use, discharge and contained in product of Cyclohexane will be accomplished taking into account 3M Corporate policies, programs, targets and objectives.
