4 Improved safety and reduced emissions at one of Texas largest universities: Texas A&M University engaged RPS to build a vehicular and pedestrian passageway at one of its busiest and most challenging intersections, an award-winning project providing safe passage for more than 50,000 students and rerouting bus and vehicular traffic to greatly reduce emissions. 5 INFRASTRUCTURE Highways Ports Aviation Water RPS develops cost-effective solutions for a wide range of infrastructure projects, providing full services through program management, planning, permitting, design and construction. Our transportation engineers have executed design of interstate highways, high-density toll roads, city streets, county roads and new routes through undeveloped areas. With extensive experience meeting the demands on our country s water infrastructure, we apply innovative thinking to drought planning, water resource management, flood planning and control, groundwater production and protection, wastewater treatment and stormwater management. Modernizing a port of national economic significance: RPS is on the team selected to redevelop and modernize the Port of Houston s Barbours Cut terminal com plex, our fourth terminal project in the Port s $150 million renovation plan. Revolutionizing stormwater management in the nation s fourth-largest metroplex: RPS helped the City of Houston revolutionize its approach to stormwater management by combining Geographic Information System tools with the city s information databases to produce an objectively ranked list and map prioritizing drainage and flood control measures. 5

6 Land development, Silicon Valley, California: There is growing demand for high-end commercial real estate in California. RPS provides technical support to Fortune 500 technology companies to support land development. We successfully supported our client to obtain permission to conduct critical development activities by providing environmental assessments and leading multiple-agency negotiations. The project included pre- and post-acquisition environmental, health and safety diligence for multiple developments over Superfund sites and local groundwater plumes, planning and emergency decision making. 7 ENVIRONMENTAL RISK Sustainability Human Health & Risk Remediation & Compliance Environmental & Facility Due Diligence RPS provides value-added environmental risk management and engineering services to financial and strategic buyers, portfolio managers and industrial clients, as well as to attorneys, lenders, property developers and technology companies. We specialize in transactional due diligence and the risk assessment of environmental liabilities. Environmental due diligence and compliance: RPS performed due diligence related to the acquisition of one of the largest independent providers of bulk liquid terminal services. Our client operates 12 terminal facilities throughout North America, and RPS developed an independent financial assessment of disclosed and undisclosed environmental liabilities related to air emissions, marine regulations, soil remediation, and emerging air and water regulations. Historical restoration, Chicago: The Old Colony Building (OCB) is a 17-story former office building located in the heart of the Chicago Loop. OCB was designed by the architectural firm Holabird & Roche in and was the tallest building in Chicago at that time. The building is a Chicago Landmark Building and on the National Register of Historic Places. RPS provided environmental due diligence services and worked collaboratively with the developer in the successful repurposing and redevelopment of this dilapidated building. 7

8 Coastal flooding, Northeast USA: RPS partnered with National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), universities and regional coastal observing systems to improve coastal flooding forecasting in the Northeast USA. RPS software developers deployed coastal inundation models on the Amazon Cloud to leverage high-performance computing and a robust computing infrastructure. This system is used during tropical storms and hurricanes to support planning and emergency decision making. 9 OCEAN SCIENCE Ocean & Coastal Models Metocean Measurement Environmental Impacts Coastal Resilience As the world around us changes, RPS responds by using science and technology to deliver a broad range of services in the ocean and coastal domain. We have a unique group of talented staff who operate in multidisciplinary teams providing creative and cost-effective solutions for the problems facing our clients. RPS provides solutions using sophisticated computer models and ocean and coastal measurement systems to support the oil & gas sector, power industry, municipalities, and USA and international government agencies. Oceanographic data buoys: RPS designed and installed five metocean moorings to collect accurate in-situ measurements for ExxonMobil s Caribbean deep water offshore prospect, Liza-1 and Ranger, to the north of Guyana. The monitoring system measures waves, currents, wind, temperature, and other oceanographic and meteorological parameters. Deepwater Horizon oil spill: The Deepwater Horizon oil spill began on April 20, 2010, and RPS supported the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration s Office of Response and Restoration (NOAA OR&R) with technical analyses during the natural resource damage assessment process. Using our advanced oil spill modeling tools, database management experience, and biological expertise, we delivered technical advice to multiple Technical Working Groups including the groups for Offshore Water Column, Plankton and Fish, and Nearshore Fish and Invertebrates. 9

11 ENERGY Oil & Gas Renewables Environmental Operations Training Our energy business is a global, multi-disciplinary consultancy. We provide integrated technical, commercial, project management and training solutions in the areas of geoscience, engineering and HSE. We help clients develop natural energy resources across the complete asset life cycle, combining our technical and commercial skills with an in-depth knowledge of environmental, health and safety issues. Oil field due diligence: RPS advises one of the world s largest insurance companies providing sub-surface and commercial due diligence to support its underwriting and investment portfolio. Geoscience & production analogue selection, type curve analysis and QC of economic assumptions provide key inputs to the Company s internal modeling for investment decisions. Operations support: RPS recently supported a major oil & gas company with their exploration and appraisal campaign off the coast of Nova Scotia. Leveraging our extensive pool of talented and experienced professionals, we provided seismic project management and well-site geology support, including realtime biostratigraphic analysis and post-well integration of the data to plan the next steps in the development of the asset. 11
