3 Here is how it works Heat generation: The Solar Wing EVO parabolic solar collector accurately tracks sun s movement at daytime and in all seasons, directly capturing the solar radiation. All the solar energy collected on the opening to the parabola is reflected and concentrated in the focal axis where the higly absorbing receiver pipe is positioned. Heat is transferred to the carrier fluid flowing inside such pipe. We guarantee the high value of our solar integration and the economical feasibility to our system. Heat storage: Collected heat can be easily stored and eventually used during hours, when the solar radiation is not available. Depending upon the power-size and the required application, we have valid heat-storage technologies available, ranging from simple storage of water in isolated reservoirs, to the use of materials with high thermal capacity, up to high tech phase-change materials. Solar cooling and freezing: In case of solar cooling systems, the heat produced by the solar collectors is sent to special machines called absorption-chillers. These are able to transform sun's heat in usable cilling-cold. Both functions like air conditioning during the warm seasons, or freezing are possible. Depending upon the power-size and the required application, we have valid absorption-chillers sizes with different efficiencies and operating temperatures. Solar cooling is the most appealing application in Micro-CSP Technology, due to need for cooling while sunshine. Freeze storage: Freezing offers the possibility to store the cold in form of ice or anumber of high tech phase-change materials. Collected freeze can be used during night hours.
