ISO ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM ISO 14001: Environmental Management System enables organizations to support environmental protection and prevention of its pollution. This system defines more management tools to improve the profile of the organization to the environment, trust, customers, suppliers, etc. The requirements in the standard operating environment preventive and not least also help reduce the impact of products in the activities of organizations. This system helps to improve the management and evaluation of individual activities and to ensure the continued harmony with the legislative regulations in the field of environment (ISO Environmental Management System). The international standard EN ISO 14001:2005 specifies requirements to enable organizations to prepare and implement its environmental policy and goals for the consideration of all requirements to fulfill the organization. The outcome of business partners is certified environmental management. The standard itself does not specify the specific environmental performance criteria. International standard ISO can be used in any organization that wants to create, implement, maintain and improve an environmental management system, to demonstrate compliance with ISO by creating their own decisions and declarations, or bringing about a certificate of compliance from the customer, or by bringing about an environmental certification management system by an external organization. In order to be certified by an organization must have a functional system. 3 clarity of exploitation of natural resources more efficient use of raw materials, energy minimization of penalties for failure to comply with environmental legislation Building transparency in contractual relations - determination of responsibility for the environment with a focus on waste. SOLVE ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF COMPANY All the processes, activities and results of business activities are continual interaction with the environment and have some impact on it. The growth of awareness of sustainable development gives the company with high environmental focus competitive advantage in the national and even the international market. A certified Environmental Management System proves that companies implement active steps to responsibilities to protect the environment. Generally the top who damage natural ecosystems include the business community. Despite the fact that it provides goods and services demanded by the public, which meets the vital needs of society, the main representative of the environmental destruction of natural ecosystems. [2] The company should be able to enter the said complex operations through an environmental management system, which describes the procedures, policies and controls of the objectives and measures in the field of environment protection. Environmental policy in relation to small and medium-sized businesses a practical induce additional costs as a result of adaptation of management systems and industrial products, environmental products, documentation, training systems etc. Permanent reduction of environmental burden of manufacturing activity is provided not only in the immediate vicinity of discharges of pollution, but also expanding the range of products with positive environmental effect. The company's activity is clearly affected the environment, whether in the case of manufacturing processes, logistics operations and retail operations. One of the main objectives of the environmental management and implementation of activities that leads to continuous reduction of environmental load. STN ISO prescribes that the organization shall identify training needs and all personnel whose work may create a significant impact on the environment, have received appropriate training. The standard ISO defines the principles, systems and technical support of environmental management. The standard elaborates on the elements of this form of management and provides practical guidance on the implementation of the system and its improvement. Standard BS EN ISO 14010, BS EN ISO and BS EN ISO contains general principles and procedures for conducting audits of the environmental management and qualification criteria for environmental auditors. [4] In other words, these standards represent a comprehensive system of business enterprises from hľadsika of environmental protection, and focused on the impact of manufacturing and services offered on the environment. The main objective of these standards is to promote environmental protection and prevention of pollution in balance with social and economic needs. Standards of ISO 14000, the disadvantage is that as all the state standards conserved during the defined period of the review and shall only take place at certain intervals. Their structural and content similarity with the standards of ISO 9000 creates a good foundation for the rapid 162

5 implementation of practical and external communication with entities to market products. However, the standards do not specify the criteria for the environmental performance of the company. Their main advantage is that it can be incorporated into any environmental management system. [5] The Art. 1 EP and Council Regulation (EC) no. 1221/2009 that the aim of EMAS, an important tool of the Action Plan on Sustainable Consumption and Production and Sustainable Industrial Policy is to promote the continuous improvement of environmental performance of organizations by creating and implementing environmental management organizations, systematic, objective and periodic evaluation of the performance of such systems, provision of information on environmental performance. Currently, the organization must respect and meet stringent requirements for environmental protection, including the prevention and control of pollution, as well as a number of laws that have internal (Slovak) and international. Environmental Management System allows you to increase the economic efficiency of the business entity, get new profit potential. Through environmental management in the company is required to carry out such activities in order to overcome discrepancies between the market, the company and the environment. [7] The increasing pressure on the company's use of natural resources as well as environmental quality, raises the need to take care of the environment so as to remove the burden preserve existing values and minimize the negative impacts of the production activities of the individual components of the environment in the future. Consideration of the environment is becoming a tool for promoting business competitiveness. It will be the eco-friendly products, the introduction of an environmental management system, the use of cleaner production practices, informing the public authorities in the field of environment and society on environmental results achieved. 163

6 CONCLUSION For many companies in Slovakia built their plants in environmental management systems. However, it is necessary that these activities have become more numerous and continue to develop and improve. The process of continuous improvement is designed to identify opportunities to improve the environmental management system, resulting in improved business environment trends. Businesses must determine or seek the underlying causes of deficiencies, develop and implement a plan of corrective and preventive measures to eliminate them, to check their effectiveness, and to document any changes compared with the environmental objectives of the company.
