3 KLIMAAKTIV AUSTRIAN COMPETENCE klimaaktiv Buildings are standing for strict requirements on energy efficiency, NZEB defines the basic level very low CO 2 emissions by promotion of renewable energy supply best indoor air quality, best comfort for the users, low environmental impacts only few but meaningful proofs and measurements during design and construction; energy demand monitoring during operation open source system: neutral & transparent, available throughout Austria starting voluntary 2005, quality criterions became more and more influence in public procurement, defines parts of building standards and is a baseline for the subsidies system in the construction sector
